SORT IT DUCKING OUT YOU **********************************************

How about you sort out your immaturity and come back later?

It isn’t hard to create a thread discussing the issues AFK players present. Right now you’ve got two options for AFK teammates.

  1. Ignore them and keep playing, you may lose, you may win. As an extra you can avoid them after the game too.

  2. Leave the game. Seriously. If you have that much of an issue with AFK players that is going to make you betray them then you deserve to be booted.

And while we’re on the subject of it, I’ve been in many games where one or two teammates but I’ve never actually betrayed them for it. An AFK teammate is sucky but a teammate who isn’t even a teammate is even worse in my book.

I think the reason he betrayed him was to get better spawns. If there’s an AFK guy at your home base, you’re going to spawn there away from the action and lose a lot of time sprinting to get back into the game.

By betraying him it may give his team better spawns. The AFK guy basically acts as an anchor for your spawns. Betraying him changes the location of that anchor.

He got booted by the AFK guy because the dude was probably trying to get the pitching a tent achievement.

AFK players seem a little less common in this game than in Reach… maybe it’s the fact that it’s so easy to get to SR-130? Really, if you’re even going to try AFKing in Halo 4, you must be really lazy.

I’ve had more problems with griefers; people betraying you by using the Plasma Pistol to disable your vehicle, people grabbing the ball in Ricochet and constantly tossing it out-of-bounds or otherwise running away with it and hiding… that sort of thing.

Doesn’t make AFKers any less annoying, though.

There is an achievement that basically requires you to be AFK.

I understand that and under certain circumstances I would agree, but I’m finding it hard to believe considering how the OP presented himself.

I think he honestly just hates people who are AFK to the point where he is willing to jeopardize his team by betraying the AFK guy not only causing the team to lose some points, but potentially lose a teammate when the AFK player returns to press the boot option.

Nice to see somebody else who understands spawn anchors.

AFK players are a bigger liability in H4 than in any prior Halo game. In previous games the enemy team merely was able to get free kills, now they’re able to also earn more Ordnance to kill the active players with. I don’t agree with the ways in which 343 tried to change certain Halo aspects with H4, but I don’t know why they left the AFK players completely untouched.

I really like afkrs spawn killing, rampaged etc

Yeah, but I meant before that. Before the Champions DLC, I didn’t seen many AFKers. If you go into the Champions DLC playlist though, you see them practically every other game.

Luckily it seems most of them haven’t realized you can get that achievement on any map, not just the Bullseye maps…

AFK players do it for the rank, but yet it completely wrecks their K/D? Granted, K/D only means so much, but still, scratches head.

I’m SURE people want to have a discussion about this since you basically bypassed the word filter and made yourself look like a whiny child. (Sarcasm)
