Change your controller setting / mapping. Default is off, once you map the button or enable default it should work.

I had the same issue, I played the first flight and changed my controller to recon, and this time it was set to custom, so your not alone, they must have made some changes to recon, so they defaulted the controls to custom, I believe before on recon you could drop your weapon with the dpad, now you hold Y.

I think it’s bug. In the first flight, it was mapped.
