Hey.
I was just wondering, in Halo: Reach, what is an average K/D Ratio?
I know it’s not really possible, as K/D Ratios change alot. Some go up, others go down.
I’m asking your general opioion, what do you think is a average K/D Ratio?
Just because this a topic Iv yet to have seen and really dont know if it belongs here or in general discussion or something.
Since you asked, mines 1.75 according to Waypoint.
Anything above 1 is something I would consider decently average.

Yeah, was talking about K/D Ratio in Reach, so I decided to post it here. But if a mod sees its nessesary, he/she can move it.
I’d say .8 to 1.4 is the average range.
Just as a general observation, most who come to forums have a higher K/D then those that dont.
Your average non-forum player is somewhere around 1.0 or below.
The average forum frequenter is somewhere around 1.2 and above.
Mine is around 1.9
Community perhaps 1.5, halo:reach has alot of noobs
Community of best: 2.1 perhaps…
If you are asking what the average of the community k/d is that would be 1.0 probably.
However, if you are asking what I think is an average k/d for a single player then that would be a 2.0. Anything lower would be sub-par at best imo. This game is too easy for me to comprehend how anyone could not maintain a 2.0 not using vehicles much, playing very little objective matches, and mostly straight up team slayer gametypes mind you. I’m not talking about griffball spawn killing / bashee -Yoink!- / objective stat whores.
I got news for ya pal. Don’t listen to any of these guys saying low 1’s are average. The vast majority of halo population (about 80%) is below a 1.0 k/d. Anything above 1.1 is pretty good if you ask me.
From my experiences, .9 seems average.
People who are positive are becoming more and more rare in my games.
The average K/D for a forumgoer seems like it would be higher, at around 1.2-1.5.
1.2-1.5 k/d is avg, but since our records are so old, it doesn’t really represent our skill since people improve over time.
My past 25 games are averaged at like 2.5 k/d or something but my record shows im a 1.41
.9 is the average, because of guests, suicides, and betrayals.
Mathematically, average K/D is likely to be 0.8 - 0.95. This is because total player kills - total player deaths must equal 0, but then factor in suicides and the average for all players ever of all time must be somewhere between 0.8 - 0.95.
Your average forum goer has a K/D of around 1.2, which is decent.
Mine on this account is 1.31, but on myy secondary, Mack so Whack, it’s 2.22.

See, but there are two gametypes that the people with higher K/D play. BTB (Stat -Yoink!- galooza if you do it right) and invasion.
Both of these gametypes, if played right, can boost a players stats immensley.
Now, someone who plays MLG on the otherhand is good if they even manage to stay positive in that playlist…
K/D ratio generally suffers if you play the harder gametypes.

well for the people that play the game ever so offend .7-1.4ish
i mines about .8-.9
Anything above 1.X is good. But remember, kills most of the time don’t mean -Yoink-. It’s about the objective, helping your team to win. CTF for example, someone who sits back and gets kills is about as useful as a camper.
The aggregate k/d of all kills / all deaths across the game is about 0.98.
The average k/d for all players across reach is 1.28.
Well if there is a site which gives the actual average then I really can’t argue with what the numbers say.
In my personal experience though, average is about 1.5 KD.
0.00 - 0.89 Below average
0.90-1.25 Somewhat low, but understandable if they play a lot of MLG
1.25-1.50 Somewhat average skill player. They’ve got a lot of it down, but not all of it. They lack something critical like team work or the ability to aim consistently.
1.51-1.75 Above average players. Decent team work and decent aim.
1.76-2.5 Very solid players, fully understand the game and implement advanced tactics.
2.51+ If somebody with a KD of higher than 2.5 sends me a FR, I check their stats and game history. They’re either very good, or their KD is only high as a result of only going in with full teams, stat farming, cheap play, refusing to risk their KD for the objective, etc. A few players with this KD fall into the “Legitimately Good” category, but the majority with KDs that high have artificially raised their KD and it is not reflective of their actual skill.
To date I’ve found less than 10 players with KDs of 2.5+ who were legitimately good and didn’t just have artificially boosted KDs.
Now of course all of those are generalizations, and people do wind up with artificial KDs.
Lastly don’t get down on yourself if your KD is low. I really only started learning the game and taking it seriously in Halo 3, so my overall KD was kept low by the amount of newbish matches that I had well before. If you fall into this category, then just keep learning until Halo 4 comes out and you’ll wind up with a KD which better reflects your ability.
Yeah, MLG really does take a poo on your KD…
Without it, mine is 2.5, with, it’s only 2.17
Im probably the worst inheritor in reach. My k/d is 1.03 and most of it is btb. So an average should be round 1.25 in my opinion,
