From the looks of it, there seems to be a lot of disgruntled players out there…
No I’m not talking about farming or anything like that, that most players are mad about. What I wanted to point out is several things that I feel hasn’t been addressed. Or maybe it was and I’m just bringing up the dead in the closet…
First off, we all know that the req’s have the armor, visors, and emblems. Some emblems we’re already there but the ones we identify with aren’t in Guardians.
Unlocking:
What is your preference?
Do you like the idea of finding the emblems/visors/armor in reqs or does it just grind your gears when all you want is that one f’n certification/weapon/vehicle/boosts/whatever and instead you unlock armor/emblems/visors your probably gonna never use at all…
Was it better when the armor, visor, and emblems was given to us like in Reach? Or,
Was it better when you unlocked it through your SR level or through commendations like in Halo 4?
Color scheme:
We all know colors never stay the same with each release. With that being said, which set did you like best?
Halo 2, Halo 3, ODST, Reach, Halo 4, or Guardians?
Armor Size:
In Reach we learned that armor size made a huge difference when on the battlefield. The bigger the helmet the bigger the target acquisition for a headshot. Which also includes the armor as well. So we then applied that to Halo 4. Not much of a difference but kinda worked all the same.
Then came Guardians and with this there are two sides that are in conflict.
Some say it makes a difference when your trying to escape from being a victim of a “one shot.”
Others say it makes no difference at all and that it is all skill.
What is your opinion? Do you believe having small armor boosts your ability to evade and become a very hard target?
Or do you think it’s all just Bs…
On a side note, did you enjoy mixing and matching armor types?
Or do you think that it’s better here in Guardians?
Gender:
Again this brings up another issue. I’ve seen many players I’ve beaten on Halo 4 on the battlefield in Guardians. In Halo 4 and the other installations their matchmaking characters were all males and I’ve beaten them all before. In Guardians, however, most of the players I’ve met or fought against before are all female and I lost to some of the ones I used to wreck… Again I said most, not all. When I asked several of them if being a female character actually make a difference, their reply was, “Being a female means you have more agility, your a smaller target, and you don’t show up on the radar as much. The only downside is that you don’t climb as well as a male character would.”
Is this true for you? Do you find any valid evidence in this?
I’m not gonna lie, I’ve tried most of this and my evades are 40% more successful, yet I can’t climb as good as I did with a male character.
Radar:
What I’ve also noticed is that when you crouch it’s a 50/50 chance your either a red blip or nothing at all on the radar. What is your opinion?
Do you think it serves you well or does it just serve as a reminder of 343i’s useless attempt at finding what they lost?
I had to put that in.
But honestly, has your radar saved you lately?
Or do you think that this tactic is virtually useless?
I know there was a post about the radar and it’s current uselessness but I find it to be a lifesaver.
It saved me from MANY assassination attempts, and from many vehicles going for a splatter. The best one I’ve had so far was actually boosting forward and hijacking a Sword Banshee that was trying to maul me in the tunnels. And that was just me looking at the radar before I exited the cave and (s)he was behind me.
Shields:
Now this is a very tricky one. We’ve seen all kinds of shields from Halo CE all the way to Guardians. In Guardians, however, you must come to a complete stop and/or walk very slowly just to recharge your shields. If you run the shields will stop charging.
Do you think the shields is better in Guardians? Or,
Was it better when you ran and they still recharged?
Aiming:
Now this one is kinda related but not really. How do you like the ability to aim with the crosshairs intact on any weapon?
Do you think it is better here? Or,
Is it a nuisance?
Because we all know, it took skill to kill with a weapon with no crosshairs while in zoom.
Well, that was all I had to say about the gear in the rear. Let us know what you think!
