Obviously Osiris is going after Halsey and Jul.
But what gets me is what is going on with the covenant and the forerunners. I don’t know if it was only me but at some points it looks like the forerunners were shooting at the covenant. Doesn’t Jul have control over them? Anyone else notice this?
Also I don’t feel like starting another thread to ask this next question but is that the way all the cutscenes will look?
Jul had never control over them, the Prometheans respond only to the Didact and his orders. If they have worked together, it was because the Didact may want something out of the Janus key or Halsey, maybe?
Now that I think of it, is it possible the Prometheans want to take Halsey with them before Osiris does? I have yet to read the second half of Escalation, but yeah, good eye if it turns out to be actually Prometheans turning on the Covenant, dude.

That’s the big question, isn’t it? The Armigers (the Soldiers) have been purposed with guarding Forerunner technology seeing as how we keep destroying all of it. It’s possible that the Warden construct has just had enough and has put a lock on everything related to the Forerunners. Remember “The Master Chief has been called, but your access is denied”? We’ll find out everything soon enough.

Pretty much, the Didact may have interest in finding the Janus key in order to get to some other Halo to take over and wipe humanity with, or he may even be interested in the Guardians themselves.
Answering your second question, yeah, pre-rendered cutscenes are assured to look like this prologue… which I tink looked like those of Halo 4 but only with better action and better camera work.
