This idea just popped into my head and I personally would have a blast with it, and that is there should be a skull (or terminals similar to the rooster teeth Easter eggs in Halo 4 Spartan Ops) in the next Halo game for campaign that changes all the original score music to a remixed/ alternate version of it. The reason behind this was that I was taking a stroll back down memory lane listing to Halo 2’s soundtrack and remembered how much I enjoyed the Hard Rock tone to the music and felt it was a nice change of pace for the time. While the current music for the game fits the bill, a change in pace is always well appreciated. So call back on Breaking Ben for those Blow Me away instrumentals or DJ Skee and THX for that Hard Electro style. Mix things up a bit in the form of a hidden present for a little extra fun. We still have plenty of time to make it happen.
I think it would be quite a waste of resources on 343’s behalf to create two or more separate soundtracks. Though I do agree with you that some metal and electro suits Halo perfectly as well as the epic music we currently have. I would prefer that they mix all tyree genres in the next Halo game where all of them have fitting situations, for instance “Blow me away” in Halo 2 which was nothing but perfect.
