In order, Which Halo books should i read from first to last?

I have played all the games (Except Halo Wars) which i hear isn’t really good.

Now i want to learn more about the Halo Universe, I know Contact Harvest is first… But after that, What books backs that one up?

Chronologically:

Contact Harvest
The Cole Protocol
The Fall of Reach
The Flood
First Strike
Ghosts of Onyx

If you’re just getting into the fiction, I recommend going with the Fall of Reach, because it will really leave you wanting more, then come back to CH and CP at the end (the order they were released).

Don’t forget:
Evolutions (a mixture of short stories, poems, and other musings on the universe, a great read)
Cryptum (a book on the Forerunner universe, recently released)

Comics/Graphic Novels:
Bloodlines
Helljumper
Uprising

Also, if you’re interested in the “universe” I think that Halo Wars is worth a play-through. It’s not the best RTS on the market but it’s fun, and worth a look.

I am a little confused here, I am looking at Halopedia… And I thought the fall of Reach took place around 2552, But the book stats around 2535.

EDIT: Never mind, After reading more into it, They were dispatched to the planet Jericho IV in 2535, So i am assuming this all boiled over to Reach later on?

The Book “The Fall of Reach” has very little to do with the Fall of Reach. In fact, “First Strike” is more about the Fall of Reach than “The Fall of Reach”.
