The game isn’t out, although people have played it, these sort of things probably haven’t been thought about but they are set to spawn on any kind of game.

In what way do you want to know what happens, as in can you assassinate them, do they have aim assist?

You can’t assassinate them, but I am confident they will have aim assist.

Just asking a friend who has received the game early, will reply back with an answer when he gets the chance.

You spawn, they fight back a little bit, once you kill them nothing happens.

I’m pretty sure elites can kill the ODST’s, and when the ODST’s are dead. A pelican arrives dropping off 2 ODST’s and a warthog.

Gonna try this now.

Edit: Tried it, and yes you can play as an elite and kill humans. They do not, however, respawn.

In other words: you can just kill three humans if there are no spartan players.
