Sometimes I’ll be in the middle of a game and there’ll be some idiot eating his mic or someone will be in the background screaming their heads off (mostly babies, good parenting) and when I go to mute them, doesn’t work. So I’m either stuck there listening to this idiot who refuses to unplug his mic or I’m forced to quit. I’m not about to sit there for another 10 minutes while my damn ears bleed.
You must be muting the wrong player or something. Also you don’t have to quit just turn your headset down or take it off… hit mute all for a bit. Hard reset your Xbox and see if that fixes it. There is options other than quitting then you will be back here complaining you were banned “for no reason”

No, he’s right it glitches sometimes and won’t let you mute anyone. I assume 343 will get around to patching it someday.
The use of Kinect should be disabled as a “Mic” that is why you can hear…everything in the background.
Best way to find that voice is just…mute everyone which is kind of…idiotic if you have that one player who you wish to communicate with.

You misread. I don’t wear my headset. I’m talking about a glitch. The “Mute” and “Mute All” options sometimes don’t work at all. There was no need for that last statement really.

Agreed, but there’s also an Xbox setting to mute everyone or just everyone but your friends that way you don’t have to listen to anyone…however that is Xbox wide and you’d have to change your settings, but I hear ya. It’s an annoying glitch.

Well I am just saying there other options besides quitting the match. I haven’t experienced this glitch and I must get real lucky in my match matchmaking because I rarely hear any one saying any thing.
Great post OP. I totally agree. In Warzone, the mute option works about 50% of the time. One match I can mute players and in the next match when l click on the Mute All button, it does nothing.
