I am almost at a loss for words. Just dropped a sniper rifle ordinance, and the game lags. Another guy runs by and picks it up. I pop him with a melee real quick in show of my displeasure with getting my sniper jacked.
What happens next AMAZES me in todays generation of gamers. He drops it back on the ground for me to have, turns and runs away… I KNOW RIGHT?!@# Who would of EVER thought this would happen in todays era of gaming.
I ran up beside him and scooped up a weapon on the ground leaving the sniper rifle for him since he was kind enough to even return it. 1 kind act for another I always say.
Still floored. Kudos to you random xbox live halo 4 player, kudos to you.

That happens to me occasionally. I feel so bad when they drop the weapon that I always do just as you did and find a way to give it back to them. I pop their shields assuming that they were being a d-bag, 95% of the time, turns out they were. Some people are genuinely courteous, though.
I try,I parted with a plasma sword for a random team mate as I had a shotgun in Reach yesterday.Still for the most part the lack of common coutesy in Halo is appaling.
Wow, can’t believe people today, both of you need to get back to your medication and see a therapist immediatley, such behaviour is unacceptable.
Anyhow, there are some nice people around, too bad it’s not evenly distributed. i.e as many good mannered people as there are bad mannered.
Either we have plenty of good mannered because there are so many bad mannered, or we would have very few bad mannered because there are so few good mannered. In my opinion both would be good.

Same thing happened to me, he returned it to me but i was so surprised and pleased with the person that i just gave it back to him.
I did this once, because I, like many of you here now, have this thing called manners.
I spawned right next to a railgun ordinance (not personal, random). I grabbed it only to notice a teammate that had obviously wanted it, and stopped to see I had it. I dropped it and let him have it, and there was a split second of understanding.
I went back in theatre mode just to make sure it wasnt personal ordinace, and sure enough, it wasnt. He saw the railgun and was flatout gunning for it. How rude for me to just spawn right in front of him and take it.
I hope other people will show me the same courtesy.
in the crimson DLC playlist the other day I had a silent argument with another player over who would get the Mantis on Shatter CTF. We both went for it, and both pulled up short. He put a burst of AR into the Mantis and “shook his head”, I put a DMR shot into it and “nodded”, then shot at his feet. He repeated his actions then shot at my feet. I jumped into the Mantis because I saw an enemy Ghost approaching, so what did this guy do? He hijacked the Ghost and guarded me with it until the Mantis got blown up.
You’re welcome. Althought, im not sure if it was me, but I always pick up a ordinance if I dont know who drops it, just so it never ends up in the ennemies hands. If I notice it was a teammates drop, then I always give it back, usually with extra ammo from my perks aswell!
Protip: use your mic, usually people that seem to be jerks online just seem like that cuz you didnt communicate with them.
Protip 2: If you didnt call a vehicle in the pre-game, you have no right to be mad I got it first. If you would have called it, I would of let it to you and you would of had the vehicle instead of handicapping our team from the start by blowing mine up.
One of my favorite things to see in Halo is the way people try to communicate without mics. Well in a good way at least.
My favorite is when you get shot in the back and turn to see a teammate trying to get you to pick up a weapon by doing a little victory crouch/jump/ spin on it.
Though once I was nice and dropped a sniper for someone and got my head blown off as I was trying to get them to pick it up…It was a good laugh though
I haven’t had anything like this happen in H4 but it’s similar to enemy players who would hop on the back of your Mongoose instead of killing you, and they DIDN’T fire at your teammates, neither would theirs fire at you.
Always thought that was fantastic.
“Protip 2: If you didnt call a vehicle in the pre-game, you have no right to be mad”.
I specifically take vehicles or weapons from people who try to ‘book’ them. Can’t stand people who do that.

Depends on how they call it. If they say “I’m good in the Banshee, I’m gonna go for it on spawn.” I’ll let them have it. If they can’t ask nicely, I really don’t see any reason to give them what they want.
Usually in Reach I gave the tank to someone who wanted it, if they asked nicely. More than once as soon as they got into it they would get lasered immediately, which was always good for a laugh.
Same with those occasions where you know that an opponent has a power weapon and you’re in a heated fight with him to take him out and get it from them. You finally make the kill, your shields are low and you go to collect your prize…
and a teammate that just spawned from dying the 300th time runs up and snatches it up and eventually wastes the weapon.
But for me, if you just killed a sniper or a sword guy and barely lived, even if i’m closer to that weapon when it drops, I’m leaving it there for you.
All of you people amaze me. The rule of Halo is first come, first serve. They had to remove friendly fire cuz of sensitive people like yourselves who think items in the game can be “called”.
If I call down ordinance and I don’t get it then thats my fault and no one elses.

ROFL. That is not the reason they removed FF.
PS. Its not your fault when you call down ordinance but it doesnt appear even thou it makes the sound. then someone walks up what looks like just a blast mark on the ground and picks up the ordinance you called in but has not appeared for you but has appeared for everyone else.

No it is the reason FF was removed. People got mad when “their” sniper was taken by someone else, so they betrayed them for weapons.
Yes it is your fault, even though that glitch is dumb you still have eyeballs to look around for your ordinance. Why does everyone expect the game to play for them…
See, I play with a full team using mics, we decide in the lobby who gets what so we can get our set up faster then the other team instead of what happens to randoms (e.g. Valhalla):
running to Mantis, mantis gets taken,
run to ghost, ghost taken,
run to sniper, sniper gone,
run to hog, hog leaves,
goes for laser, other team got it already and blows up all major vehicles…
I have called in ordinance for my team if I see it will better them rather than me.
One occasion of this was on Ragnarok, one of my teammates was doing a good job picking off the enemy team with the sniper. I spawned near the base with a new call in, the Beam rifle was the weapon givin to me. I then noticed said teammate going to town, so I thought, “what the heck”, so I called it in for him to use.
