Am I the only one that would like to see just the total kill count? I hate it when people check the kill count of each player and see who has the most/least. It does nothing but discourage those who don’t get many kills, make the people carrying mad at a single person for goosing. I feel like it’d be maybe not alot but MORE submersive to just throw the kill count in and leave the teams to be a team. I think there is a special feeling to not know how good, or bad you did until the game is over and look at the end game stats. Tell me what ya think
No
Im sick of this “everyone gets a trophy” mentality.
No? N it’s not for everyone gets a trophy mentality at all you still have stats after the game? IN GAME I don’t want to see who has how many kills. Like when Halo streams the tournaments you never see the stats of who has how many kills and it makes people go crazy when they see T2 get 6 kills but in home is alot different. Every death people just look at stats and rather get confidence or frustration. If you take that out until the end of the game it’ll make people play different in general if you don’t think so don’t look at stats when you play. If you FEEL like you’re doing good then you’re going to be pushing out challenging every noob on the other team but if you know you’re dieing alot you’re going to CHANGE your playstyle.
Not at all tending to noobs to make them feel better. They’re still going to see they suck at the end, still not going to rank up. I believe 343 needs to take in account what little things like this can do in their game. There’s things that self consciously trigger anger, passion, sadness frustration, etc… Based on the slightest things. From walking to sluggish to sprinting everywhere (literally so much more but you get what I mean) That’s why we are given OPTIONS in a game. Sensitivity to slow and makes you mad? Bump it up. Button layout not comfortable? Change it. It’s also why 343 was smart and added options for custom games to those who despise sprint. But you can’t have everything in a game have options. There needs to be “rules” I guess you can say that restrict the players. Given it be 4 shot kill, 5, base speed, all these set “rules” trigger emotions. “Wow I walk so slow” “GET 4’d KID” “wow do you not even have thumbs you can’t even aim!” Now just imagine what not being able to see who has how many kills until the end games stat show so. Not only will people spend more TIME there 343 can give extensive stats to impress players. Everytime I play and see a teammate have 0 kills it’s frustrating. Why have frustration leak into your game play? Is it simply to make players feel better than their team or what? I don’t see point of in game kill counter for each player

Agreed, if you don’t want to be the worst player on your team, get better, or get over being embarrassed it’s pretty simple.

I’m just going to quote this. If you’re the lowest on the scoreboard you’re either being encouraged to become like the guy above or you get embarrassed and feel bad because there’s someone better than you. Having a kill counter isn’t bad in any way at all. If you wonder how many kills you’ve gotten so far in a game you should have the right to know that.
Having a counter also provides how info on how big your streak is if you haven’t died through the entierty of the game and if you know that you’ve gone 23/0 you’re getting more encouraged to proceed and you know that you should start to play more safe/agressive.
It brings more pro’s than cons and the cons are only people being whiny that they can’t get more kills than the guy next to him because they can’t accept being worse than someone.
And you’re not forced to look at the in-game scoreboard, it’s not forced on you until the game has ended.
This is a tough call. I think skill balancing should minimize the embarrassment.
