Since we don’t know what the price of the battle pass is, just I’m going to assume that it will be purchasable with the in game currency instead of with real money. So going off this assumption, I think that Halo Infinite should have some of this currency unlockable in the battle pass. Not a huge amount or anything, but just enough to be able to purchase the next battle pass for free. To my knowledge, Fortnite is the only game that does this, and I would like to see Halo do this as well.
Call of Duty also does this. The battlepass is 1000CP to buy and the battlepass has 1300CP within it.

The credits system can buy you individual levels but I dont think you buy the passes with credits.

There’s going to be a paid “premium rewards path” that’ll likely be bought with in game credits as well as the free progression path.
In the flight you had to buy the BattlePass with credits, that was buying the paid progression path - they just gave us the credits for Flighting purposes during that play test.
Fortnight spoken on halowaypoint
This is heresy!!!
Nah only messing. Ive no idea how the battlepass will work amd hopefully with all the feedback 343 are getting they can tweak it so its more appealing with the XP system
I would like to see that as it was a great incentive for me to finish things like Fortnite’s battle pass. Being able to get your money back just by finishing the battle pass was nice, and it didn’t really hurt Fortnite’s revenue or anything since they still make millions of dollars. That being said, I don’t think we’ll get that within Halo’s battle pass, especially since the battle pass never expires. It would then lead to players being able to buy the very first battle pass and then regardless of whenever they finish that battle pass, they would be ensured of a steady stream of currency to always be able to afford the next battle pass. This would be very pro-consumer and as a consumer I would like this very much, but that may be too much of a good thing for a business to provide unfortunately. The only other solution to this that I can think of is if they do provide enough currency within the current battle pass to basically refund your cost of entry, then those currency drops within the battle pass would only be earnable during that current season. Then when the next season rolls around with a new battle pass you can still earn all the old unlockables from last season but the currency tiers would not be there anymore. Come to think of it where is my job 343?! I kid of course lol

I had forgotten about how we had to buy the battle pass in the flight. I’m hoping that the battle pass will have credits that you can unlock in it.

You have a point. I figured it probably wouldn’t happen, although I would like it to.

I don’t play cod so I wasn’t aware of this.
I think it’s Highly likely that there will be in-game ‘currency’ or tokens to be earnt by levelling up the Battle pass. This provides more incentive to invest in the system knowing that your dedication to completing the Battle pass will enable you to unlock the next seasons premium content. I think it would be very frustrating and anti-consumer if you were required to fork out an extra $10-15 every season even after 100% completing the Battle pass.
The issue is that most battlepasses give you those rewards because not enough people actually beat the battlepass to get the next one for free. but with infinite battlepasses are forever so hypothetically everyone would only need to buy one pass and for the next 10 years they are set.

I agree. Such a thing would be amazingly consumer friendly, but unsustainable from business perspective.
That said, they could throw out a seasonal challenge to be one of the first 10,000 people to complete the pass, and the reward would be free entry into the next season.
Granted, a lot of those would go to the Pros and Potatoes, but it’s a big enough number that you could probably make it in if you committed, but low enough that it’s a drop in the pond for MS’s revenue.

That is an interesting idea and one that would definitely reward those players that are most dedicated to the game. Would be kinda hard to implement though especially with being able to buy individual tiers of the battle pass, although if they did do such a system they would and probably should exclude those people who bought tiers.
