Anyone ever play Star Wars Battlefront? Well SWB had a cool little feature on it’s D-Pad that allowed you to issue commands to teamates. Those commands consisted of: At Ease, Follow me, Move out, and Hold your position. If you entered a vehicle you could say: Get in, or Bail out.
Now why should this be in Halo? We have mic’s now, we can just talk to them.
Well I don’t know about you but I’m lazy . . . if I’m in a party I don’t want to have to leave in order to tell someone to get into my -Yoink!- Warthog . . . if I don’t have any friends to talk to I don’t want to have my mic in.
So, these commands on the D-Pad could become really helpful for team based games, and just in general.
Up = Move Out
Right = Follow me
Left = Can I have your weapon please? (Or At ease . . .)
Down = Hold your position
When in a vehicle:
Up = Target sighted!
Right = Get in!
Left = Bail out!
Down = Fire your god-Yoink!- weapon Jenkins!
Now, these commands could get over used, and become tools to annoy someone. To counter this they can be disabled in custom games, and there are limits to how much you can use them. Maybe if you use 3 within 10 seconds your muted until those 10 seconds are up. Further more if you are muted by the player they will not hear your commands.
Idk, what do you guys think, I’d perfer these over getting shot at or honked at by a warthog when they want me to get in.
