In co-op campaign, the other players should play as their own custom spartan IVs instead of Master Chief clones. In a video from game informer, they mentioned that in campaign the other players will be Chief clones, which I never thought was a great idea. Ever since the first Halo I thought it was better to play as your own customized spartan than another Chief, even in Halo 2 the second player was another Chief or Arbiter. Not until Halo 3 and Reach could you play as a different character besides a clone of player 1. Also 343 can implement the custom spartans by re skinning the clones and change the audio with your spartan. Besides the other player (chief clones), was never explained in story except for Halo 3 because the second player was the Arbiter. Lastly if its too late to implement them into the campaign by November 6, 343 should at least add this as a dlc update in the near future. What do you guys think, do you want to play as your own custom spartan or you`re OK with bringing back the Chief clone?
I’ll try and find it, but I could have sworn that they said Player 1 will be Master Chief and the remaining three are their respective Spartans.
Here’s a link to the video http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2012/04/20/halo-4-multiplayer-hands-on-impressions.aspx
Oh man if we can play as our own spartan IV I would be so happy. Now my spartan IV can be badass in the campaign too xD
If they released a DLC thing that would let you play as new Spartans in single player, you would need to re-download all of the single player maps. That would never fly

That. Assets are stored on a per-map basis.
(There’s an exception – maps can share assets – but that would be even less patchable. Both the “pulling” map and the “pulled-from” map would have to be redownloaded.)

I expect that the scoring version of campaign will have your custom spartans, I hope.
They should make spartan clones of the basic sets of armour (master chiefs new armour for player 1, mark 6 for player two, mark 5 for player 3, and recruit for player 4
Its set in stone,Player 1 Is Master Chief and The other’s are spartan clones of chief,STOP COMPLAINING!
