In atmostphere Booster Frames

So i’m very sure you’ve all noticed that Halo 4 lacked a very key vehicle and that was a human based Air Vehicle in MP. So why not have a Booster Frame added into the game Halo 5 Guardians.

The difference is that this booster frame would be made for in atmosphere combat. While the pilot would be exposed the craft could of have two forms for flying.

Hover and Jet.

First off

Hover Mode-While in Hover mode the new booster frame of flies like the hornet/falcon. In 3-D giving superiority over ground forces. While in hover mode pilots will have access to two weapons.

Machinguns and Ion Missiles.

The Machinguns will be similar to the Warthog’s turret but instead of one there would be two mounted on the craft. Against Vehicles they would be useful but not instant killers. Which brings me to the Ion Missiles.

Ion Missiles-With the future of warfare sometimes its just better to disable of a foe rather than kill them and those the purpose of the Ion Missiles. Pressing the secondary fire button will unleash several missiles. Firing 4 missiles from each side of the Booster Frame that travel a certain range before going haywire and heading off in their own directions.

If one of these missiles hits a player they won’t kill them but slow and disable their shields. The more missiles that make contact the slower you become the and slower your shields will take to recharge.

I.E. Ratios-1 Missiles slows 15% of your movement speed and delyas shield recharge by 30%. The odds of more than one hitting a player are very slim unless the Booster Frame is in its move optimal medium range.

For vehicles the missiles will disable the craft for a brief movement. The more that hit the longer the vehicle is disabled.

I.E. Ratios-I missile hit stuns for 1 second.

As you could guess smaller vehicles like Ghosts and Mongoose~~(geese IDK) won’t be affected by the missiles because their size saving them from contact but once second is more than enough time to plant a plasma on a vehicle or just get in closer.~~
The Machineguns will be on an overheat setting will the Ion Missiles will be in stock and reload after the entire payload has been dropped. Holding the trigger will charge the shots allowing players to unleash hell on an unsuspecting enemy team.
Jet Mode-Oh No you’ve just hovered over into a trap what do you do, time to make like Starscream and scamper away like little Teemo leaving your problems behind for others to deal with. With 500% movement increase who is going to stop you.
While in Jet mode you have access to my Seeker Flares. Flares that when released will instead of drawing away the ordnance they will engulf them causing the nearest threats to be made harmless.
You will also have access to Pulse mines. They won’t do much damage not even being able to kill a grunt but they will blow them back stunning the little creatures and flip over light vehicles. So if you see your allies in trouble drop a mine from a above to blast your enemies in the face with blinding light giving your friends an edge.
Notes: Below
Truthfully I really want jet mode to have weapons enabled i was thinking of having two daul guass cannons that must take 5 seconds to charge before they can fire and having lock on missiles but that would be weird as to why don’t players just use these while in hover mode so why not have that like a heavy variant of the new Booster Frame while having the Jet Mode be for escape and a little help for your allies.
Another note is that i did consider making it so that instead of having Flares(which seem outdated) the BF would activate camouflage when ever it is locked on. This camo would have to be activated by the player and won’t stop the ordinance from flying towards you only removing the lock on.
I’m sure you already see the flaw with the camo jet. It being invisible won’t stop the missile from using whatever machinncs it uses to lock on from locking on. Invisible or not you would be shotdown.
The other option was to cause a small EMP. One that wouldn’t affect the ship too drastically but would stop any rockets coming to you sending them straight to the ground. The issue with this is someone using anything but a rocket launcher to shoot you down.
Nothing has really made an impact like my Seeker Flares.
Also Pulse Mines only stun AI. Enemies players will be blinded. The severity of the blind depends how close they are to the mines. Your allies will also be affected but only if Friendly Fire is on.
P.S. Halo 5G sounds pretty cool to me. That’s what i’m calling it from now on.

Needs more universe contextualizing.

On-topic, seems rather bulky for in-atmosphere combat and difficult to balance. I’d -Yoink- myself if a flying vehicle with dual gauss cannons came at me. And switching between modes for a speed boost seems unnecessary, I’d prefer the boost system we have now.

The reason for the difference in flight modes is to spice things up a bit. Adds a whole new angle to the vehicle. Even space races if players would want to make maps.

P.S. Great video, talk about handi-capable.
