I was thinking that this hype as we wait for the Embargo to be lifted reminds me of the madness trying to get early Reach Beta codes, which I remember so vividly. What do you guys think? Think we’ll remember this as one of the key points before H4’s release?

I still remember the devastation of Microsoft canceling ODST’s announcement (the heck was wrong with them? So disappointing). So who will remember? … I certainly will. Game reveals don’t happen every day after all.
I definitely will, jut like I remember waiting for footage in Reach, and the Halo 3 trailer… even if the game is a bust i will still remember this. (It won’t be :D)

the way I see it, halo 4 is 9 months off and H4beta is possibly 3-6 months off.
its not even worth worrying about and future reyaweks will get his daily dose of H4 when it graces my presence. Until then ill be on reach.
it was the same way for me with HRbeta and Halo 3.
Either way, no one will remember these times, there are not too many “good memories” associated with waiting for a game to come out.

I think we all will. June 2011 was the day we were all shocked that Microsoft was going to back Halo 4 AND a new trilogy to boot. Almost a year after only receiving sparse pieces of info, we finally get word of info for a certain date.
How could a true Halo fan NOT remember this day?
Good question. answer: to each their own. I remember threads similar to this back during the halo 2 beta - release date, though very vividly. Halo 3, I could never bring myself to forget some of the information issues, granted it was less then 10 per day (that I read), but it was similar. The endless waltz is repeating itself once again, real question is, when will the community shift so much that casuals become pro, pro become casual and the trends of old are completely forgotten?
