Impulse Triggers ruining my experience in Halo 5.

Well here I am again trying to get the attention of someone from 343 industries to try and get an a toggle option in Halo 5.

Since I can remember I’ve played Halo with vibration on because I just react faster when I can feel it. When impulse were introduced in MCC I tried it out thinking that it was a cool feature. When I turned in on to play Halo 3 in MCC it was pretty interesting, but after about 2 games I turned it off. To me I feel like it’s messing up my shot with all the extra vibration, and is messing with my reaction when I am shooting someone and the impulse triggers are so powerful I can’t tell that I am getting shot half the time. This is just from my experience.

Before Halo 5 was releasing I’ve been asking 343i to give a toggle option to be put into Halo 5. I think it’s cool, but it’s not for me. When I got on Halo 5 on midnight release Halo 5 has impulse triggers, and there was no way of turning it off. I’ve been asking for this during the feedback program, but it seems that didn’t do much. As time goes on I’ve been hating impulse triggers a lot more. It’s messing up my shot, and my reaction time because of all the vibration the impulse triggers are giving off, and now it’s messing with my chat experience. No jokes since the beginning of Halo 5 impulse triggers have been ruining my chat experience with the game. It vibrates so hard that it makes buzzing noises through my headset which forces me to mute my microphone so my friends do not here it, and the only way to fix this solution is to play with no vibration. I can’t. I tried for two weeks and I just couldn’t get used to it, and to me it doesn’t feel natural.

I’ve asked several employees at 343 like Bravo, Quinn DelHoyo, Josh Holmes, Unyshek, Che Chou, Frank O’Connor, and many more from which I’ve only received a few responses. Bravo said he would some team in 343i to look at it, and Quinn said, I don’t know. Bravo’s answer was November last year, and Quinn’s was yesterday in a stream.

So please to the employees that work on Halo 5! I am begging you to add an option to toggle impulse triggers in Halo 5.

Really?? Find out how to use them or how to adjust them to your fit. No need for so much drama. Goodness

It’s feedback. You’re the one whose starting drama.

Don’t you mean “you want a 1-10 gauge on pulse/vibration on the controller to game” feature?

This would work to, but I would just prefer it to be off. This was all just from my experience. Don’t get me wrong Impulse Triggers are a cool idea, it’s just I don’t like them.

I’m fairly certain there’s a way to turn them off in the Xbox settings, though I could be wrong.

I’ve looked on the Xbox settings, and there is no way. I heard the Elite Controllers can turn them off, but not regular controllers.

I don’t even notice impulse triggers…

Again this is from my personal experience. It’s so bad for me that the I would feel the impulse triggers more than an actual earthquake. It’s very annoying to me. The other reason I want it turned off as well is not just gameplay, but the fact that it vibrates so hard that people can hear it through my mic causing me to mute it. I like to talk to friends, and people on Halo.

You can turn them off. Could way back at launch. Try looking the options, its there

just go into your controller setting on our Xbox and disable it… simple as that.

Dude, I’ve checked Halo 5 settings. I’ve check Xbox Settings. There is nothing there to turn off impulse triggers. You’re probably thinking about just vibration.

Dude I understand what you’re saying. It’s not there. Do you have an Elite controller?

I’m telling you the truth. 10000%. I’ve check several times. Updated the controller. It’s not there for me. I know you’re trying to help.

I also checked on the xbox website and it says it doesn’t support it for the regular controller.

I don’t know why people are having so much trouble understanding that you’re not an idiot and checked the blatantly obvious places. Jesus. I play with vibration off entirely, but this is an entirely reasonable feature to include.

Thank you. I thought I was going crazy.

When I started to play Halo 5 I decided to turn off vibration as a test. Needless to say my controller will likely never vibrate again.
