Improving Halo Part 3

Things to Change Part 3- I created this list with hopes that the state of halo would be changed for the better.

  • The knights in halo 4 were far more pleasing to fight because they had a shield that you could break and that felt good. - When the prometheans die you don’t need to make it so extravagant. We don’t need all the effects in the air with their deaths. We would rather have the knights die in a little explosion it’s more pleasing that way. - Add more enemies to the forerunners so they are more diverse and don’t get boring and make unique and sometimes random encounters with them. - Some of the weapons need to be changed so they’re more pleasing to shoot like the battle rifle doesn’t feel or sound nearly as good as the halo 2 battle rifle. Also a lot of gun sounds need to be changed like the promethean shotgun needs to be a little more bang and less pew sounding as do a lot of their weapons. - Create a spartan company for elites and make a game mode in the game where spartan companies can contact each other and fight in battles against one another. - Create a setting within custom game that allows you to turn the name tags off for enemy players. - The UI needs to be far more smooth and allow the player to search for items. Also everything needs to be put into alphabetical order. - Add a gamemode where you must survive against waves of flood. - Make emblems earnable and creatable like from halo reach. - Fix the lighting glitches in halo 5 forge and custom games. - Also I think that a game mode should be added that is a spartans vs elites game mode. The more you play this game mode and level up in it the higher rank of elite you can play or the better rank of spartan you can play. You would have to beat challenges to unlock the higher tear character but the only benefit it would give you is your starting weapon. For example if the UNSC started as an ODST and got their weapons and the highest is spartan starting off with a battle rifle or something like that. With the elites the highest would be gold and they start out with a sword. Once you have unlocked all the tears of characters you can then choose which to play as whether it be a scout starting with a type of sniper or the highest rank on each team getting to start out with a sword or a shotgun depending on the team. This is a class based system yes but it would only be for this specific game mode and would not be in any other part of the game. This would create a kind of invasion game mode but a team would have to be wise about the players they choose in order to combat the enemy team and you could show off how much you’ve played that game mode and how many challenges you’ve beat by showing the highest tear of soldier to help out your team. Also the searching of the game would put people of close level together so that everyone has access to about the same tears of characters and creating fair gameplay. - People seem to be going crazy about battlegrounds style games these days and many people want to see that implemented into halo where you drop in as ODST’s and fight to the death. I think that this is a great idea, however I believe it should be added as a later DLC or if it is to be implemented it can not be at the expense of any other aspect of the game. I do not want to see classic game modes suffer due to lack of time being spent on them and more time being spent on the battlegrounds game mode. If they can implement it though without damaging other game modes then why not the more game modes the better and the more people have their own game mode within halo. I don’t believe that they will implement this game mode though. It requires far too much time and resources to create that they are using to make halo 6 a successful game. I’m sure they don’t want to take the risk of implementing such a controversial game mode into halo 6 right off the bat as well but maybe at a later date. - A story choice- I believe that Halo 6 needs to bring back that urgency. We need to feel like humanity is on the losing side once again and like we are almost done for but we keep fighting anyway. I believe one way they can do this is by showing us the devastation that that the guardians cause. Also in one part of the story the UNSC INFINITY should be about to be destroyed but then the spirit of fire comes blazing in to aid them in fighting a guardian or the threat at hand. They then have to combine forces of new and old and give everything they have to beat the threat. - I also think that in halo 6 master chief, Locke, and the Arbiter need to have a lot more dynamics with each other and interactions considering they are all linked way back. It would also be really cool to have a cutscene where those three are fighting together. - At one part of halo 6 it would be cool to see a cutscene that links all the characters. For example if arbiter, master chief, and Locke were fighting on a battlefield against forerunners and then it quickly switches over to red team fighting banished and then maybe palmer and other spartans fighting flood. This would just be a very cool cutscene to quickly see all those battles and fights happening at the same time and would further push the sense of urgency that we face and how we have our backs against the walls. - Create a mission where we fight on a halo ring considering we haven’t been on one in a first person halo since halo 2. Also have the arbiter say something like “Back to where it all started” when you get there.

Halo 3? The final mission took place on the rebuilt ring from CE.
