Improving Domination

Hello all, how are you doing today? Domination is a gamemode where the objective is to capture control points on the map. Doing so accumulates score, the first team to reach the score limit (default 3000) wins. Also, players start play with 4 turrets, and 3 marines if unsc, 5 grunts if banished, and 10-ish fodder if you are yap yap.

Domination is currently the least favorite gamemode, notorious for endless search ques. So what is the problem? Simply put, it takes so long to win by means of holding capture points. This results in players playing domination like it is deathmatch, often ending the game by either rushing a main base and killing it, or fast teching to tech 3 and spam vultures/super units to kill a base, long before the game is over from holding capture points. Thus, the concept of Domination is ruined, resulting in the mode being dead.

What recommendations do you have to give Domination some :heart: ?

GROUND OP PLS NERF

Making main bases invulnerable would be a good start. Like you said often people just sit back, build the ultimate army, and roll over everyone.

If not that, increasing the speed in which you gain points would be nice. Or even reducing the score required to win.
