The assault rifle is my personal favorite weapon in the halo franchise and I think they need to find some sort of way too have it be at the same level as the battle rifle

It seems pretty level to me. It should not have the range or precision of the BR, but up close it definitely feels even with the BR. Just my opinion.
Watch your tongue! all the BR “pros” won’t like it if something stands against it, why do you think people hate the pistol?
That’s why 343 added long range scopes and barrels to Warzone to make sure the BR is teh best weapon

eh, it should stand toe to toe with other weapons in close quarters. if anything a slight advantage in CQC, but it should not outmatch a precision weapon. If its your favorite weapon in the series then you should understand its place in the system.
AR is good how it is. It’s a starting loadout weapon that is balanced and destroys at close range. Balance in Halo 5 has been excellent in my opinion.
