So far I think halo 5 is a great game. And warzone is a great addition to halo. However, I do believe that some improvements can be made to the req system. Here’s my list:
- Reduce the DMR req level from 6 to 5. DMR should not be as high of a req as the scorpion and the Answer.
- I have seen many people suggest the idea that we should be allowed to turn off the reqs that you don’t use. For example, when you go to your load out reqs for the BR, there’s a lot of them that you don’t use. Scrolling through all of these reqs causes the system to lag. So you should have the option to turn off the BR reqs that you don’t use. This will prevent them from appearing in the req system.
- Expanding upon the idea suggested in number 2, you should also be able to turn off a limited amount of reqs that you get in your req packs. Such as turning off 3 common reqs so they won’t show in the req packs that you buy. I would suggest turning off only a limited number of them. Such as 3 of each common, uncommon, rare, ultra rare, and legendary.
- Buff the vehicles a little bit! The vehicles in halo 5 are the weakest they have ever been. A tank shouldn’t be able to be taken down by assault rifles and battle rifles. Make the vehicles like halo reach again. That game had the best vehicle balance.
Well those are some the changes I would like to see! Let me know if you guys want anything else changed. Also let me know what you think about these changes.
I agree with a majority of your points. The vehicle one im iffy on. Vehicles seem so weak in warzone because there are many variations of base weapons that do bonus damage to vehicles. This makes them much more vulnerable to infantry fire. Now in arena the main flaw is that there is not enough open areas in BTB maps to allow for larger vehicles like scorpions to maneuver correctly, this also allows them to get boarded easily.
When it comes to warzone there is not much you can do when it comes to buffing them because all the weapons can easily be used to take down a vehicle and there is so many power weapons its hard to find a good balance. If maps were built for vehicle movement in BTB I think vehicles would be much stronger but sadly they just are not.

Yeah I guess that’s true. However it’s so irritating when you spawn stank and 4 guys just keep on shooting at it with their BR from across the map!!!
The DMR for sure needs to be lowered a tier or 2. It’s a great gun but not one that warrants being as high as it is currently.

Definitely. I can’t believe they lowered other reqs but still left the DMR the same

This should be one of 343’s major priorities. We shouldn’t be spending more time scrolling through the REQ menu than time spent actually using the weapons we pick.
IDK, with the increase of the speed for the req system, I’m getting mine in a reasonable time frame. It does create a lull where there seems to be a bunch of BR’s for too long. But some people prefer those in general. I think they should give it out with your first gold pack, hearing about people in the 100’s that haven’t unlocked one yet is troublesome.

The DMR is fine at being a 6. Its quite easy to get to req level 6 now. DMR is one of the most powerful weapons in the game. I smoke people all the time that have BRs. DMR is by far a better gun the BR. If anything the Railgun and Fuel Rod cannon should be moved to level 5 reqs. The rail gun is a level 4 and is being used as a sniper very early in game when you can’t get a sniper until you are level 6.
I agree with all of your points except number 1. The reason it’s so high is because there is a possibility of three kills each clip (granted they’re all headshots on fully shielded spartans) and it’s unlimited use. I know it’s the same for the BR, but which one are you more likely to hit headshots with?
I’m sorry I disagree. The DMR out guns all other loadout weapons at long range and warzone, especially on some maps, is predominantly long range. I think it’s perfectly fine at req level 6. Also, reach had some of the worse vehicle balancing ever. The Halo Reach Banshee is the most over powered vehicle from any halo game ever.
I also think the DMR should stay at level 6. It’s a powerful long range weapon and should be earned. Besides with the new level changes it’s way easier to hit level 6.

What about the halo 3 vehicles? Halo 3 warthog was divine.
