impressed by a 7 year old

Was trying to come up with some punny gametypes…

Repeater after me (increased damage, bottomless clip repeaters only)
SWATshots (still working out those details)

And my 7 year old son suggests “A sticky situation” and says it should be infinite plasma grenades. Can’t do infi nades, but I did do starting x4 plasmas.

Decided no points for kills, no penalties for suicides or betrayals, plasma pistol as the only weapon, 10 bonus points for a stick.

We played some 2v2 matches to 50, had a good time.

But really, I was impressed with my son’s punny gametype name.

son sounds like he will turn out to be a solid halo player. Good job for being his awesome dad! pretty sure he loves the bragging rights to all of his buds at school that you play halo…

Give that young man a controller =D

I started playing with my nephew when he was 6 and by 12 he was spanking my YOINK! in 1v1. He never let me live that down LOL but I have recently reclaimed the crown on that little battle

uhm, your sons gametype already existed in halo 3s action sack …

A creative kid for sure.

Reminds me of Team Stickies from Halo 3 Action Sack. Good times!

what?! I skipped H3, so I would know nothing about its playlists. But it still stands that he came up with a pretty good pun for a gametype name.

Yeah, Halo 3’s Action Sack has Team Stickies! Plasmas and Spikes…Man I miss that game type! The spike 'nade’s “thunk” was just so satisfying to hear.

I miss flame and spike grenades. They have sass.

If you don’t mind doing a little quick forging, use your gametype but take a tight map (Prisoner, Beaver Creek or whatever), remove all of the weapons and load it full of quick spawning plasma grenades. Run away!

Hopefully you can have infinite grenades in Halo 4 like the skull in CEA.

We play on an octagon I built for playing an infection variant I called dodgeball.

Sounds like a lot of fun.

You’re making me nostalgic for Halo 3 Action Sack and its magnificently goofy gametypes like Run for Cover (on Zeus), Team Sumo, Punch-out, Dodgeball and Team Scuds/Rockets. Those were the days!

I like your style. A bottomless clip of grenades could make for a real gong show.

Back when I played CE for PC I came across a game where the only weapon you could kill your enemy with was plasma grenades. If you were in a vehicle like a banshee and a scorpian was on the ground it would do no damage. You didn’t have to get stuck, just plasma grenades damaged you. It was really really fun. There were other ones like the anti vehicle gametype where shooting a vehicle would send it flying to the edge of the map, and if you tried to pilot a ghost it would start to fly and hover over the map.

HOLY CRAP I REMEMBER THAT! Wow, I had almost completely forgotten about the goofy gametypes on Custom edition… awwwww the good ole days, though I’m very disappointed in myself… I never played Halo 3 Action Sack… was too busy trying to get my ranks up in ranked… was it Squad Battle? Anyways the ranked 6v6…

But for the OP, sounds like your 7 year old is going to enjoy gaming down the road. Just make sure he stays on halo for us, alright? lol…
