I would like address issue of maps being more focused on amount of units than control or map. There can be fixes for example maps can have canyons where only air can cross of course be controllable light bridge for infantry and vehicles to cross. But i believe small paths infantry cross be interesting such as mine base in crevice any only air and infantry can get there focusing on control of map. Next should be turrets that are scattered around map like in campaign this can be focus of control for defensive points on map. Then there could be factories like from halo wars 1 like on labyrinth where you can purchase sentinels with attack, healing or shield, that attach like skitters. Then be ones similar anders that can be purchased to allowing for rush or control of supportive units.
