When the Title Update arrives will we still be able to play system link with people without the TU and have never been online?

I am aware that with the previous halo’s and their respective TUs you were able to play system link with people without the TU’s. Will this be the same for Reach?

How will this effect people who have never played online and do not wish to lose their offline rank and credits that perhaps want to play system link with friends who have been online that have the TU?

Will it also be possible for people to play customs with the new Halo CE anniversary maps in the same respect without the TU?

I don’t think the gametypes would be compatible, since the TU is changing what can be done with custom options.
Maps will be fine, though.

Just hook the other xbox to your internet connection. You don’t need Gold to get updates, just a connection to Xbox Live.
Also if you play online and then go to offline you don’t lose anything.
If you play offline and then go to online you will lose stuff but have to accept the disclaimer.

Well, they wouldn’t be able to install the Anniversary Map Pack to their HDD for custom game system links if they dont connect to Xbox LIVE…

If they are using the CEA disk, I’m sure it’s got the TU built in.

You can download the TU with a silver account, just do that.

leave your xbox offline. go online and google ‘download halo reach title update’ you will find a site somewhere with it posted. load it to a usb and install it.
