Important info regarding the launch

I’m seeing a lot of people are missing important information on the beta so instead of responding to each of them where I can, I’m posting this thread so everyone knows exactly what’s going on with halo infinites multiplayer come launch and the content in multiplayer.

To start off, the main source for this comes from the most recent blog post by 343 regarding the beta and the 20th anniversary. The anniversary isn’t important here so don’t worry about it. Many people have been looking at the beta like an unfinished product. This is both incorrect and correct to a degree. Many people are expecting that, with launch, more content will be available in multiplayer in terms of maps, game modes and general features.

Unfortunately, this is not the case. I’ll direct your attention to the “Welcome to Halo Infinite MP Beta” blog post that was coincided with the beta launch. This is the second paragraph of the blog post:

“Why is this release a beta? Our previous Multiplayer Technical Previews went a long way to battle-testing our services and infrastructure. But as we prepare for a significant increase in the number of players jumping into Halo Infinite on launch day, December 8th, we want to ensure all our systems are good-to-go. While you may experience some bumps and bugs during this beta period, it does mark the official start of Halo Infinite Season 1, with all day-one maps and modes enabled as well as the full Season 1 Battle Pass. This means all the Battle Pass and customization items you earn or purchase during the beta will stay with you after December 8th.”

Most of this is the usual beta related explanation, but one specific line of text answers all our questions:

“during this beta period, it does mark the official start of Halo Infinite Season 1, with all day-one maps and modes enabled as well as the full Season 1 Battle Pass.”

So when launch comes, everything we’re playing right now is all we’re getting. I feel it’s important that the halo community knows how little content there is and how much is missing from the multiplayer launch. This may be free to play, but lots of standard day one content we should have is not here and will not come for 6 months or perhaps more.
