Import Halo cr

WHAT’S THE STORY!!! I just tried to sign-in via Halo Wapoint and my xbox live via my xbox… the message read… the number of credits you want to bring exceed the number allowed… if you want to continue and authenticate the account then you will lose … 22,286,112 credits!!! That’s 22 Million points that I have earned to the Inheritor rank via Campaign gameplay!! What’s the story!!! Whoever get this message please let me know what is going on!!! I was previously recorded as completing Halo 3 at the Mythic level (SLASO) and registered as #33/#35 on the Bungi net board. thanks I am carl22grant C907

Did you previously play Reach exclusively offline? My understanding of that is if your gt never signs in to XBL on Reach you get an increased reward for campaign stuff but if you sign in to XBL you lose the difference.

I don’t know the actual math, but let’s say the normal campaign payout is X and the campaign payout for those without XBL is (X10). If you’ve earned 10,000 credits and then choose to sign in to XBL you’ll have 1000 credits.

CoverMyMeds … appreciate the reply… Yes, I was on Xbox Live a number of years ago to post and record and upload … the missions of Halo 3 that I finished SLASO … RC Master, NakeEli, and others were on the board at the time… I was number 33 or 35 in “the Halo world” to finish Halo 3 SLASO. I have just recently finished Halo: Reach SLASO and am seeking out the place to ‘record’ the completion (actually I am still working on Pillar of Autumn SLASO, but should have it done in the next few days). Over this time, I have accumulated about 22,286,112 cr and reached the Inheritor rank. ALL of these points were acquired over the past many years Off-line. I am hardly interested in giving away a massive amount of credits ‘just’ to record on-line. Is there any other information that you can provide? Thanks

Sorry OP, but you won’t be able to take these credits online. This was something that Bungie implemented into the game before launch to prevent boosting. You can read about it in their FAQ:
http://halo.bungie.net/news/content.aspx?type=topnews&link=Reach_FAQ#_3

> Going Online for the First Time
>
> If you initially earn offline Credits and then take your profile online, there will be a onetime check to see how many Credits you’ve acquired. If that amount is over 26,250, you will need to forfeit some Credits. This check is in place to ensure a level playing field and to eliminate foul play.
>
> If you choose not to authenticate, you can still play online, but you will subsequently appear as a default Spartan with a default emblem and colors. If you want to change your mind, simply reboot your console and upon your next foray into online matchmaking, you’ll be prompted again.
>
> If you have purchased shiny new Armory items, the authentication process may reclaim armor pieces in order to bring the Credits balance into a positive state. The end result is Armor + Credits = 26,250. No more, no less.
>
> If you have less than 26,250 lifetime Credits earned when you go online for the first time, you won’t have to worry about any of this complicated math.
>
> Note: Authenticating Credits does not provide any personal information to Bungie. It’s only used to track Credits per gamertag.
>
> Once you authenticate your Credits with our online servers, you will not see the Credit loss dialog ever again (unless you decide to create a new profile). If you go back to playing offline, the game will simply cap you at 1,000 Credits per day until you reconnect to LIVE. If you are playing while connected to LIVE, there is no cap and you can earn Credits to your heart’s content.

stckrboy… okay… appreciate the information. I think I understand the policy. I will view the FAQ cited. Thanks
