Imperfections that hinder halo 4 Multiplayer!

I dont know if anyone from 343i will take this seriously but here is my two cent on this game so far. After playing this game since November 6, there are a few good changes that really make this game stand out from previous installments, however with that being said there are a few if not equal amount of quality that really destroyed the replay ability for me and my friends and i am sure many people will agree with me. Here are the things that bother me about this game:

1.Weapon disappearing. For some unknown reason i dont know who though it was a good idea to make the weapon disappear after 10 second after you die. There has been countless times in which i would pick up an amazing weapon, but is then killed and the weapon would disappear everytime i go back to the location of death.

2. Maps selection. I enjoy majority of the map in halo 4, with that being said i do not want to play 6 games of haven on slayer or 6 games of the Ragnorok on BTB or 6 games of exile on dominion. 343i i highly recommend a better map detection system in which it cycle through more maps or have a gears of war 3 like map rotation system so that we get to enjoy all of your maps.

3. EXTREME HIT assist… after watching the kill cam and seeing that the enemy completely miss my head when shooting me however i still die, i decided to go into custom games with a few friends and test the aim assist and the result is unbelievable. For example. when in the banshee if you aim a full warthog length away from someone the plasma bomb would inadvertly flies directly into the target. when using a rifle (DMR etc) you can miss someone within a head length and it would register as a direct hit. This applies to every single weapons and vehicles in this game. This make be the reason why so many people are complaining about over power weapons. Dont believe me test it out for yourself.

4.Amors abilities. Most armor ability are fine however the thruster pack is too slow and weak same goes for he jetpack. everything else is fine. Also alot of the character model are hideous. The marines look like mercenary and pathetic, they dont look like soldier.

5. Visible Death notification. When someone die there was a visible red X on their location, this inspired teammate to respond to the death by picking up the weapons or reinforcing a location or raise awareness. why did 343i remove this feature that promote teamwork is beyond me.

6. Invisible should be a ordinance pickup. It is a major pain in the behind to pay any game mode against a team full of invisible camper across the map. Sure promethean vision can counter this, however it is terrible when facing invisible enemy across the map. Also when one is trying to complete an objective it can be deficult to pin point the invisible sniper camping in the back all game…

7.Inconsistant ordinance. I believe that removing default map weapon is great because it discourage weapon camp, however the frequency of weapon drop is to close. This created a huge unbalance game play. for example. when you join haft way in the entire team is carry a power weapon so its next to impossible to kill them, but when you do they will immediately receive another power weapon. Also why is every ordinance seems to sport the concussion rifle and grenade.

8. Damage boosted needs to be turn down. This ordinance is way over power. it turn the rifle weapons into sniper rounds for example. when i equipped it i can easily take out a guy with 2-3 shot with full shield.

9. Bring back overtime in capture the flag. It can be annoying to have the flag in your hand and is outside your base and the game is over. All previous halo game have this feature, why remove it ?

10. Lag LAG LAG…. this is a brand new game that was release not two weeks ago why is there so much lag in almost every single spartan ops or campain games that i try to played with my friends. my download speed is over 23 mps and upload speed is over 7mps so i know its not my connection.

11.Cosmetic… This is not a major point but it must be address. Majority are in this game are extremely ugly and hideous they all look like something that was rip off from gundums robots… also why are alots of helmets not included in this game (ODST etc.) when there are over 4 variant of E.V.A helmets with no changes to them except minor color design. Why is/are the emblems and background lock from day one ? this feature is never lock in previous installment. this seems like a pitiful method of trying to force players to unlock.

There are more issue with the game then this however these are the only one that i can think of at the moments and i am extremely tired. if you agree with me please voice your opinion or add anything that bother you.I will continuously add additional problems to this list a time go on, and will add anything the you guys add. I will also be updating the list if any issues is resolve…Also read this with the frame of mind that i have been with halo since halo combat evolve and that this is purly my opinion…

I pretty much agree with everything here. Except that I Don’t always get the concussion rifle thing. Also I love the power boost when I actually get it. I don’t last long with it because I am targeted quickly.

you forgot the the piece of crap instant re-spawn or the fact that the DMR has to high a fire rate for a long ranged weapon.

I mean all the weapon are good in a certain aspect, if your going to take bloom out the game then it will be more deadly and accurate. but i agree that the respawn is crap. also the betraying system is garbage… guy cant kill me becuase i get in the mantist so he destoyed it instead -_- but i cant boot him.

I agree with points 1, 4, 5, 6, and 8.

Especially 5 and 8

I don’t know why they don’t continue with something as simple as the veto selection method featured in Halo 3. It forces us to experience all the maps and get good at all of them and not just play what a particular majority wants to play. It’s boring and unfair for many players.

The problem with camo campers aren’t camo, though. It’s the DMR. It’s got a shorter kill time than the BR, rediculous accuracy, and very little bloom. The fact that shooting scoped players don’t take them out of their scope doesn’t help either. Slow the DMR ROF down, and implement something to fix its extreme range, and a lot of the camo camping would go away.

I actually think Damage Boost is alright. It really doesn’t make a huge difference from what I’ve seen. I usually take maybe 4-5 shots on a player in order to kill them, the Damage Boost saves me maybe one or two shots. I think you’re exaggerating a bit when you say it turns something like the DMR into a Sniper Rifle.

The weapons disappearing is also another issue, more so because I run out of ammo all the time on the bigger maps. On Ragnorok, especially, there’s hardly any weapons to pick up anywhere, and hardly any ammo on the ground, so I run out of ammo quickly when firing across considerable distances. This was also really annoying in the campaign; I’d run out of ammo and then go back for more, or remember that a gun I wanted was back around a corner, only to find plasma pistols and whatever instead of ammo or a weapon I could actually use. I really have a problem with this.

I didn’t even realize that there wasn’t overtime in CTF, that’s kind of a big change. I’m hoping it’ll come later.

Sorry for double-post; I don’t understand why anyone would want to use the BR in Halo 4, as opposed to the DMR, other than for the sentimentality. It’s honestly an inferior weapon, though they act as though they’re in the same category.

No visible RED X on death. I miss it, its frustrating its not in the game!

Nice to see someone who isn’t just moaning about the game but talking out their reasons about little things.

Instant Spawn is stupid. It breaks any chance of your team actually setting up or having complete map control.

You shouldnt be able to get someone One shot and die,and then spawn and kill them immediately.

Out of the box Halo 4 is 10x better than Reach. Just a few tweaks and this game will be even better.

I particularly hate the menu system. It seems cluttered and bulky especially compared to reach and halo 3 menu system, i would have preferred and upgrade to reaches menu system not a whole new hard to navigate menu that halo 4 has

Yes, it can be quite annoying. I began to notice this in Reach. The vehicle corpses don’t stay very long, and the weapons disappear as soon as you look away. I don’t think it’s that much of a big deal, and does give the game a little bit more of a clean feel. I think it has to do with a bandwidth problem, which means it might change in the next iteration of the game.

I do agree that playing on Haven more than twice in a row can get annoying, but there are two reasons this doesn’t matter. The majority of the players in the lobby still voted for it, hence, it is the more desired map, giving more pleasure to more people. And second, there is no way to see how many times each player has played what map, and how long ago it was when they played each map, so detecting which maps have been played from each player in the lobby would be impossible.

This is a straight up lie. Maybe the messed up killcams are confusing you, but aim assist isn’t that much. It is a little much on the DMR, but not anything too significant.

I do agree that the thruster pack is a little under-powered, as you don’t go anywhere. The only purpose of it would be to avoid grenades. But, the jetpack is just fine. I feel as though they perfectly fine tuned it from Reach’s. The Reach jetpack was so obnoxious to go up against. All anyone did was fly straight up in the air and shoot down on you. People still do it in H4, but, it’s not as bad as Reach. And what the hell do the character models, which I think are fine, have to do with armor abilities?

You are absolutely correct on this one. I found my self yelling “ONE SHOT ON MY X”, for no reason all the time when I first started playing. But there is a little X marker on the motion tracker, and if you know callouts, you can just say where they are.

This is sort of true, but I find it pretty easy to kill idiots camping with camo. They try and wait 'til you pass, but I can easily see them, so it doesn’t bother me. But is would make a nice addition to the speed boost, damage boost, and overshield.

I think the global ordnance is fine the way it is. And I almost never see the concussion rifle. And usually I get at least one good option.

I’ll just make this easy for you. Overshield vs. Damage boost. It would take about 5-6 shots to take down the overshield guy, but only 5 to kill the damage boost guy. They are both powerful in their own way.

I’m pretty sure there is overtime. If there isn’t I agree.

It has to be your Xbox then. I have a legacy Xbox 360, and it does lag quite often, but it’s not really the game’s fault. And it technically isn’t lag, it’s sort of the equivalent to loading a video that you have stored on your computer’s hard drive. The lag you are probably referring to is usually due to a bad connection to the host in matchmaking.

There are several art styles of helmets in this game from large, classic visors, to small discreet visors, and even helmets with no visor at all. I think there are plenty of nice choices of helmets. And the unlocking of emblems is to show progression.
