I thoroughly enjoyed H2s multiplayer. I love the balancing, weapon selection, dual wielding and using teamwork to control key areas on the map. However, after spending months with Halo 4 and Destiny, going back to H2 feels completely jarring. I think the most jarring part is just how slow the MP feels. I guess I am spoiled with the Sprint option. I honestly feel like a Spartan should feel like a Spartan, a fast hyper lethal killing machine. This jogging thing just feels strange now after all these years.
Also not a fan on the overemphasis on the BR. Granted, I am pretty good with all weapons but in H2, almost nobody uses anything but BRs and Power Weapons. I think it adds another element to the game when other players use a mix of solid weapon choices.
And one more thing…I know a lot of people hated drops but I actually found them pretty interesting because they force you to play smart and not get killed.
Anyway, I hope Bungie fixes the matchmaking issues because I have yet to get into a Halo 4 MP match…can’t wait to the Halo 5 Beta…finally we can have the best of H2/H4/Reach!

Bro… Bungie is working with Destiny now, 343 is running the Halo show.
I still think the best competition was in Halo 3. I loved Halo 2, but Halo 3 was flawless, to me.

If I run with a team or not, it shouldn’t matter, you should always work with your teammates.
I guess my question would be, why would a team change your decision on which Halo you prefer? A solid team in Halo 4 is fantastic, same with Halo 2, Halo 1, Halo: Reach…
I’m just unsure as to how your reasoning works out. I hope I don’t seem rude or offensive. Please explain what makes you switch on Halo preferences!

Must admit I agree with you.
After playing game after game of team BR games in the MCC and wishing someone would actually stop being boring and vote for a different game mode for a change I realised Halo 4 multiplayer is 1000 times better.
Maybe if they had a playlist that excludes BR game type I might like it.
Halo 4, is a bad game. The spawns are awful, and the guns are unbalanced. A Assault Rifle should never compete with a BR or DMR, because it takes no skill.
I don’t know how people can says guns are unbalanced in halo 4. In H4 just about every gun is a viable option. The dmr, ar, and br can all excel. That’s the literal definition of balance in an online shooter. In every other halo if you aren’t using the BR you were wasting your time. Everything else is useless.

I agree that a Spartan should be a Spartan instead of a slug that jumps high and that halo 4 is more fun, btw 343 owns halo now

DT on Reach with a friend is a blast. So competitive. Been doing it for years now and it’s just so fun.
