Imagine: the Dedicated Server situation reversed

Crap title, I know, but 50 character limit.

Anyway, could you imagine the sheer uproar if US players were forced to play on International Dedicated Servers? It would be murder! There would be boycotts, returns, forum/reddit outcry, 343’s twitter would be torn asunder. It would be heresy to the mass fanbase. There would be an official apology, formal statements, buzzfeed/kotaku articles, free REQ compensation, future promises and potentially a fanbase exodus. It would go down in infamy. It could even spell the end of Halo as a franchise.

Melodrama aside, what do you think would happen? Maybe I’ve let my imagination get the better of me. I don’t want to derail the meaning of this thread, conceptually a thought exercise, by discussing the politics of the situation.
What’s your opinion?

Depends on how it affects servers for most people. If it doesn’t hurt anything, nothing will happen.

I highly doubt this unless America got crap connection. But if it resulted in bad American connection they wouldnt do it because we are their main source of income by a substantial amount.

Did you ask yourself where 95% of the Halo population reside? If you owned a t-shirt store and 95% of your business was in the US and 5% in EurAsia and Aus, would you move there and open your store in China?

source for those numbers?
sure US is the #1 market for Halo but your numbers make ot look way too easy…
have you ever tried to look at it from an other angle? maybe the market would be much bigger if 343 would take care of europe more…

This was supposed to be a thought experiment, not to be taken literally…
