“My enemies aren’t playing how I want them too ARGH!”
Joking aside I can see it being frustrating if your enemies and possibly some of your teammates aren’t playing how you want them to but that’s outside of your control. You can’t dictate how your enemies play against you and whilst you have influence over your teammates you don’t have control over them.
Please though consider this, if “everyone” but you is playing one way then you’re the minority and whilst minorities shouldn’t be excluded they should not just be catered to at the expense of everyone else. You want to use snipers and you have that ability, no-one is stopping you.
The game mode gives you 1 long range weapon and 1 shirt range weapon, you, just like your opponents are free to use that load out as they wish.
You might think people are cheating themselves or whatever but this is just a video game it’s not an exam there are no real stakes, people play it to have fun and it’s not for you to dictate how everyone else gets to have fun. I know that means sometimes you won’t have as much fun as you could and yeah that does suck for you but that’s how many of us feel when we get stuck on a team with people that are AFK or just feed the enemy kills or don’t communicate etc, sometimes in gaming it just happens and in a competitive game with multiple players of different ability levels playing on different systems you’re never going to be able to get a situation where everyone gets to have the most fun each time.

Thanks for the tip, I’ll try this and see how it goes
I ended up with 4 S7 matches in a row the other day and almost cried lmao
The game should be forcing everybody to use it is the point. And not call it Team Snipers if it isn’t.
I agree with you that they could change the name but historically Team Snipers has always been a sniper weapon as your primary weapon and that’s where the mode gets the name from but it’s often been the case that you can have a close range weapon as your secondary weapon (sometimes this is standard sometimes it’s a variant).
However if your complaint is about the name then it’s still unreasonable to expect everyone else to change their playstyle to specifically suit you. Players are using the weapons they are provided and they are perfectly entitled to do so.

do you wane see more that there primary weapon is a sniper type and that the secondary weapon has no weapon at all and has become a fist melee then only?
It’s called “Shotty Snipers”. Just like the Slayer playlist, you get more than just regular Slayer; such as Slayer Pro. 343 hasn’t included any “pick your gametype” yet so they’re just throwing everything in the same playlist. Even SWAT has the same problem as it could be SWATnums or whatever the Mangler variant is called. If you don’t like it then just stay away from those playlists until 343 adds an option to play what you want in about 8 years.
Because when I started in Halo 3 I couldn’t aim. Controllers are clunky and I took to PC gaming better. But because of that I dawned my CQB helmet and made it my duty to snuff out all of you BR Scout Sniper Jun lookin’ wannabes with the closest range weapons I could find with extreme prejudice. I dont need to aim if I can vaguely point my shotgun in your direction and follow up with melee.
Now I can aim on MnKB and I still want to see you beaten and bloody from a scattergun and a fist. THATS why i use the shotgun in snipers.
As usual, the Pc user comes into a random thread that has nothing to do with Pc just to bring up mnk, controllers, aim assist, etc, and tries to make it about him. Does it ever fail? They should get separate forums.
I’m not the one getting styled on in shotty snipes

Plus YOU asked “Explain yourself. Seriously.”
You asked how bad I was, I elaborated that my inablility to aim with a controller in my early years of Halo conditioned me to play in an aggressive, close quarters way. Thus thats why I use the shotgun in snipes, hell my friends and I joke that the sniper is the “long shotgun” because I’d rather no scope all game. My K/D is almost never negative regardless so like
Shotty Snipers is a classic game mode now. The shotgun is also meant to be used as the sniper rifle is.
Couldn’t agree more tbh. Make it only snipers only and then add shotty snipes as a rotational weekend playlist and that’s it
Because I like having fun and sometimes it’s fun to use a shotgun. Hope this helps.
Then it shouldn’t be called “Team Snipers”. It should be in fiesta with the social players. You’re lying to players when you call it that. It’s like how they call it koth but it’s nothing like koth. It’s just a garbage variant of territories from H3.
what do you call the fiesta game type then since fiesta has been the same like halo 3 i think that you get random weapons in that game mode.
do we really need a lot off diffrend playlist with each playlist has there own game type only?
that we need a CTF only playlist, oddball only playlist, stronghold only playlist?
if you not think its needs to be call team snipers its your point but if the developers wane add shotguns or pistols as secondary weapons in the team snipers playlist list and more game type variant’s like the skewer or Stalker Rifle its there choose to make and not yours since its there game.
Yes, we need the same separate playlists that we had in Halo 3 and Reach. Not having them is a sign of incompetence, and it’s one of the reasons why there’s so many quitters. Team Snipers is Team Snipers, and it should be ranked. Manglers and Skewers belong in social. So do shotguns.
halo 3 and halo reach got no separate playlist’s at all.
in halo reach team snipers got a sniper rilfe and a pistol as secondary weapon.
and if you think that will stop the many quitters then you can dream on since back in halo 3 and halo reach the quitting problem was much worse then we got after halo 4.
if the players not quit about the game type then there will quit about there stats since for a lot off people the K/D ratio is holy for then and going death to much time’s then making kills is worse for then and there quit before the match ends.
This still going on?
I thought we settled this a dozen days ago?

Typical 343 liar/gaslighter trying to rewrite history to protect your failed games. Quitting was a non issue back then because we had party matching and a way better ranking system. There’ was no reason to quit because the games were fun. So you can stop lying, because there’s way more quitting now with the new ban system than when there wasn’t. Literally every other match or two matches somebody quits in Infinite.
Also, Team Doubles, Team Snipers, Lone Wolves, Team Slayer, Arena, MLG, and SWAT. Youre saying these gamemodes never existed? That’s not even mentioning the newer gamemodes that Reach had. Why are you lying through your teeth to people who have been playing the game longer than you as if you’re convincing anybody? And shotty snipers was its OWN gamemode in social. Ranked Snipers in H3 was snipers only. H5 ranked Snipers was also snipers only despite the abilities. So have a seat.

This is more of a multiplayer team issue (dev team) than a player issue tbh. You can’t blame people for using a weapon available to them in an unranked playlist that already has other issues with the loadouts available on some variants.
They won’t get better with the sniper if they’re using a shotty all day. That’s a fair point, but a point those players wouldn’t care about. Don’t let it bother you so much. Loading up a 1v1 with a friend would probably be a better warm up. Especially if its just BR and fighting over a sniper. A bit more realistic scenarios happening during that. I get understand the frustration though.
Who knows…maybe in a few years there just might be a ranked snipers playlist…just …maybe…
Use what you can. If the game mode spawns me with a shotgun, I’ll use it the same way I used it in Halo 3 or pistol Halo reach. I’m fine with snipers and swat not being ranked anymore. A high rank in team snipers didn’t mean you were good at the game, just good with one weapon and a high rank in Ranked SWAT means nothing because in a real game we all have shields. I agree, quitting was not anywhere near a big deal back in the day even tho a ton of people quit games. Complaints about that on bungi.net were as big as the complaints about teabags. We just treated video games as video games in that era, and just did not care if people quit out.
