Imagine Infinite released back in 2020

I strongly believe fans dodged a bullet by asking microsoft to delay Halo infinite back in 2020. If coop and forge arent ready now, what would the game look like back in 2020? I read a comment that the engine wasnt even ready in the gameplay demo.
This whole release now fix later mentality does not belong in the industry, you chose not to ready essential modes for Halo but microtransactions will be there on day one, this really shows 343s priorities and i believe passionate people working at 343 are getting caught up in this storm. If you expect people to pay full price for this then i would almost call it a scam. I agree with everyone saying campaign should be delayed to when coop is ready.
Either its there for everyone or not. I didnt expect the launch to go smooth tbh. The track record speaks for itself

I mean, adding microtransactions are way easier than implementing co-op or forge. I get what you mean but the comparison is kinda fallacious.

Each has its own level of difficulty, you cant pick a random guy and ask him to design a successful monetization system. To clarify though, the comparison is there to highlight the priorities over at 343…

If it was released in 2020 it might have had to change it’s name to "Halo: Limited"

The scale of those two elements are on completely different levels and involve completely different people/teams. It’s not like they had the entire co-op/forge teams thinktanking the monetization system before they were allowed to work on their respective duties.

A lot of the people excited now would still be excited even though the game was completely unplayable because they’re just plain excited about anything and don’t analyze it any further than what is presented to them by devs
