Imagine: Infinite being made identical’ish to MCC

I want to start this thread off with the question:
Imagine (topic inserted here)?
And by that, I mean launched in the state MCC is in now.

How would that Halo game be?
Personally I think Infinite would be in a much better place now.
The gameplay and the campaign of Infinite mixed with the good quality content that MCC has now.
Even with MCC weapon sandbox added on top of Infinite.
Equipment items from Halo 3 added on top of that as well.
Floodfight wouldn’t make people beg for the flood to become a part of the campaign.

They could even make a separate flood storymode apart from the campaign, like Call of Duty: Black Ops did.
The epic Reach quality forge.
Expandable campaign story.
Free season passes would make the store more justified.

It’s sad that Infinite doesn’t have a similar team as MCC working on it.

So, what about you?
Do you think Infinite should take notes from MCC and follow that path to stay relevant?

Leave a thoughtful comment, thank you

Maybe in 3 or 4 years. That’s how long it took 343 to duct tape MCC together enough that it was actually a decent game.

When MCC was first released, my friend and I would spend an hour just searching for a game. Then when it finally found a game, the teams would be lopsided and the game would likely crash within the first five minutes. It was a very rare thing to get a full game that actually played to completion. And the bans for quitting (i.e. game crashing) we’re not nearly as forgiving as they are in Infinite.

That being said, 343 had a good template in MCC for how to make a game with a decent match composer, progression, and challenges that people enjoyed and wasn’t overly intrusive. Apparently they thought redesigning everything would reach a “broader audience” but I think they overestimated their abilities. Just another notch in their legacy of poor management.
