Seriously. It’s like 343 is saying “how dare you enjoy our game and play it a lot in one day?”. If an MMO did this, they’d get absolutely destroyed. Imagine playing WoW or GW2 or something and not being able to get more than a certain amount of XP per day. The claim that “they don’t want people to get to the cap quickly” is asinine. The whole point of the progression system is to provide something to chase after, if I can’t rank up (and since there’s still no 1-50 CSR), there’s no incentive to play other than just to play the game.
Make the XP cap a reasonable number that can only be attained by cheating or boosting, not normal play.
