Does that finally mean that all these super specific weirdness, console and controller bias, North American only, call of duty loving talking points could be shoved back down to a more appropriate place in the hierarchy of ideas?
Seems to me like the competitive and classic halo communities could receive a huge boost in favor from the publisher if it is shown that this is a superior market for them to sell the halo product in.
And I see it happening because Xbox is not Nintendo and at this point it is simply a potentially inferior windows machine with a ton of drm.
If you don’t get why this is potentially huge, it is that halo has a winning formula that is hugely popular. However the target platform has always dictated that the game be designed with a certain group of people in mind. With that changing, maybe their ideas and preferences will have less weight in the community.
I would love this since I can’t stand the culture of the xbox community and I don’t like that my favorite ip has been exclusive to them for the last generation even though pc won. Pc community is becoming very diverse and is much more serious about gaming. Good things happen over on the pc community.
This will actually be good for everyone because the console community is naturally regressive due to them being isolated in a corner and allowed to degenerate.
Thoughts?
Not going to lie but i think because it’s on Steam it will do better maybe even more numbers than when MCC released on the PC it reach 145k+ when it released not counting the gamepass users cause the numbers are a mystery, i am going to guess it will do maybe 200k+ or even more when it releases on the PC and hopefully is not a downer like Halo 5 when it released that it miss so much stuff, not everyone will buy the new Xbox when it releases and if am not wrong people will buy infinite the older consoles and more now that cross-play is a thing is hard to say which one will actually do better, also i forgot to add if i am not wrong Halo MCC is still the top 5 seller game on steam since December so that’s really huge.
The PC community is now being built from 0 thanks to the MCC, 343 has a golden opportunity to be able to propel the Halo PVP community into a new golden age if it does well.

343 and pvp=404 error Halo not found. Hope I’m wrong I miss Halo badly.
Well it’s also on Xbox one and series x and steam doesn’t have that high of player numbers so I’d say it’ll do really high number with gamepass you looking at 10 million potential players

Is this serious? There are usually millions of players on at once at any given time.
I mean if its been made from ground up to be a PC game rather than Console game thats then ported over them I’m sure it would hold Higher fidelity against a Xbox series X or Xbox 1.
If we here anything about Infinite’s financials that isn’t in some way related to gamepass I’ll be surprised. I fully expect complete radio silence unless Infinite is unambiguously massive success on its own merits.
As someone who plays games on PC, I think with the xbox series x will run pretty well. On PC, your mileage may vary. Meaning you have to adjust your performance levels to get the best looking game. Whether it’s upgrading your parts or building an entirely new PC. With the xbox series x, the current hardware is on par with what is around right now. And, this RDNA2 graphics card is not even out yet and AMD has kept a tight lid on it. We haven’t seen any benchmarks on it as well. I am sure the price for the xbox series will definitely a great affordable buy since even right now on the market, AMD Zen architecture processors are the best bang for your buck. Intel is still great, but they are beginning to fall behind and they will even more if they don’t release a 7nm architecture.
Overall, in theory, the Xbox Series X is most likely comparable to a good mid range to high end gaming PC. This theory is based off on no benchmarks about RDNA2 by the way so until then, we will have to wait and see.

I think this game will almost certainly pull more players on PC.
Microsoft aren’t wowing people into buying the series X and we know how poorly the Xbox One lost to the Ps4 in terms of sales.
The PC community is much larger and has been clamoring for Halo for a long time.
Unless the Series X sells really well this game will be very quiet on xbox very fast.
its always possible it will do better on PC and it is true MS hasn’t done the best wowing people into getting the Series X, yet this post seems really biased towards PC. This post seems to lay blame to Xbox players and basically giving the argument of “it’ll be better cause PC” and that is it. MCC is 24 hour peaking at around 26,000 on Steam charts. I doubt that is much larger, or larger than Xbox. MCC is doing fine on both platforms. I wouldn’t say its doing bad on either.
I like xbox still. Have both PC and Xbox. PC is fun but my friends play xbox so I don’t use PC as much since games are better, especially Halo, with friends. Not gonna try to moan and cry about how they should spend their 500 dollars on a gaming PC or to “bUiLD yUOr oWn”. Just wanna game and have fun.
After seeing the demo and finding out that the Series X will require proprietary storage upgrades instead of allowing the use of external hardrives I decided to skip this next gen. I’ll likely just ride out the next two years with gamepass on my One S and build a gaming PC later on.
Halo MCCC on Steam nearly has 100k reviews. That there hints at a massive amount of sales on Steam when you take into account that a very small minority ever bother to review games in the first place.
So you could be right.
I’d be happy to invest in a gaming pc for the first time if Halo thrives on PC like it once did on Xbox 360.
Sure PC has many advantage for a game like Halo.
-Comunity
-Modding
-Population
-Various settings for lower specs
But then, what is the point of getting Halo on Series X if it’s on PC ? And the Xbox One failed to be what a console was meant for. More casual gameplay with splitscreen (why was it removed in H5?) Well, I said more casual even if it was halo that launched console FPS to e-sports.
The other problem I don’t see anybody speaking of is crossplatform peripheral. I now Play MCC on PC with mouse keyboard and if I don’t have a perfect tracking I get 5 burst BR by average player. The aim assist is even stronger that is in COD or fortnite and you all now how people complain about it. So we have to see how 343 will handle it with infinite.

Yea I hope you can turn it off. I dont want to have to deal with hackers. That I am worried about.

Of course, it will play better and look better on PC. You have unlimited hardware options on the PC.
Since Halo MCC went to PC that is the only place I play the game now. Not only because of G-Sync but because it looks and runs better on my PC. It is a given it will be better on PC.
