Imagine if Halo 4 was released Fall 2013

How great would that be?

This game was obviously very very rushed, whether you love the game or not this is a fact. This game needed at least a 6 months delay. We just got online File Share, which you cannot even watch your videos online. CSR will be rolling out all the way in April. We are finally starting to see our favorite playlist come around.

Now why Fall of 2013? First off like past Halos to have a Spring beta. Anyone who buy Gears: Judgement gets the beta or something like that. This could address the nerfs and buffs, the AAs, Loadouts, forge, and other stuff people complain about.
We wouldnt have to wait for important stuff like fileshare, custom games, CSR, to be implemented or fixed.

Imagine if actually could have more playlist, not less.
More vehicles, not less.
More maps, not less.
More Spartan Ops environments.
More theater options, not less.
Firefight 3.0 and much more.

The extra time could make it where they made the game for the ‘Xbox 720’. Imagine getting the new Xbox with the new Halo trilogy as the first thing to play. Microsoft has no killer game this Fall. Halo would of been that answer.

I do believe almost everything that is wrong with Halo could of been fixed with more time. Hell its happening now. If this game had a beta in Spring of 2013 then released Fall of 2013 this could of been the defining game on the Xbox 360.

Instead… We have a game more rushed then I have ever seen. Without a beta there was no feedback on fundamental transformation things like Ordinances, Loadouts, Sprint. This game tried to appeal to everyone, but in the process it appealed to no one group.

True, the game would have been significantly better in terms of play-ability. (Less laggy, more custom options, working file share, less bugs/glitches, more ranks/maps/etc.). But the game would still be the same as it is now (in terms of sandbox and playstyle). The direction Halo 4 went, The path 343i choose would have still been the same.

And remember 343i/Microsoft was very _HushHush_* about everything Halo 4. I’m sure if we had playable builds, like those from PAX available back when the Halo 4 Teaser was released, the community could have been vocal, and had more impact and influence on Halo 4. We had NO SAY what-so-ever in Halo 4… Until it was to late…

I like Halo 4 how it is now…

Maybe Bungie will come through with Destiny, or possibly a Battlefield 4? (Probably not until next year, but there’s always hope)

so you don’t like improvement?

I belive we could find a good enjoyable experience through Halo 4 with the improvements on AA’s they have made and even ordinance possibly but it not going to be easy to find. Its kind of like the recent discovery in science where they found out these little slips of sometype of material actully had properties that were better than the current batteries we have today and this was discovered by mistake and now they have something that could change how we charge our I pods and other eletrical products and maybe even cars all from a mistake and a little experiment. I belive we could get something like that if we actully tried instead of whined.

Mesonic the problem is that this community would rather just scream and moan then have a real discussion about how to make H4 better.

I call it the Internet syndrome. Where you can act like a two year old with no reprocess ion to “real” life.

> I like Halo 4 how it is now…

Ok, yeah, ok, we get that. But imagine this, now hear me out… Halo 4, but…

IMO, they should of released halo 4 on the nextgen xbox. =P

New trilogy etc =P

Don’t forget how things are split because of loadouts.

I can understand this being for MP but why does it have to affect Campaign?

I want my 6-8 rockets, I want my 3-4 grenades, I want normal grenades! I can live without those but it makes Easy playthrough less fun.

My point is that there should be more difficulty distinction. On Easy, let us be gods. On Legendary, let us be badasses. I feel like a wimp on all difficulties. I feel like I’m being treated like a baby.

QTEs on Dawn should only be on lower difficulties. Look at CE PoA which didn’t force you to go through all that beginner stuff.

And of course, the overall shield recharge should be increased for not only Knights but for Chief as well, just like in CE!

Lastly, collateral damage (though it’s much less severe than in Reach since they actually take cover). I think by now most people know not to shoot the panicking citizen…

I play video games to escape reality!!

We can only dream

They always release big name fps games at around the same time of year to compete with call of duty.

Would have been probably been much better off if halo 4 was released much later than it had been. Seeing as how call of duty is pretty much the same game every year.

Can’t say I dislike halo 4 though as I do find it entertaining. More so than blops 2.

I kinda forgot where I was going with this.

Or…how about… release a beta before the November release? Wow! But that would have helped the game out and we can’t let the customers help us make our game!

Not having a beta is biting them in the butt right now.

A beta would have been nice, I completely forgot that there was no beta.

Agreed. Halo 4 is just getting better (new maps, gametypes…etc)

Very true.

I envy you, it’s been 3 years since I enjoyed a Halo game. I miss my deaths being caused by the better players knowledge, skill and my mistakes. Now there’s so many variables, I can’t judge skill anymore, so I just get frustrated and quit.

Well… Thats sad. Can agree about nothing feels like the Halo 2/3 days anymore… But still (reach had a pretty solid MP) and H4 will get better every week from now (updates) I will keep play it till Halo 5 comes out (as the main xbox live game)

Yes, the game should have been delayed. I love Halo 4 but it clearly wasn’t quite ready. Microsoft should learn to compromise. However, from a business point of view, it isn’t as important to have a “Fall killer app” as it is to have a holiday launch window (November through December). Launching in November gives you the initial launch rush AND a Christmas boost. This is what companies like Microsoft care about. Believe it or not, glitches and online population in a single game don’t matter to Microsoft. If those who used to play Halo online for two years straight have stopped, it doesn’t matter as long as they still fork out for a Gold account.

tl;dr, Halo 4 is great in many people’s minds but should have been delayed. It wasn’t delayed because MS care about immediate profits above all else.

It wouldn’t matter much, it would still have a sub-par campaign and I highly doubt they would be working around the clock to get a few playlists and a visible CSR in game. Spartan ops is the best thing about the game.
