imagine how many potentially new halo fans 343i...

just lost this week due to this awful release.

sure the established fanbase will for the most part wait it out but 343 lost an enormous opportunity to grow their fanbase with outsiders.

This game came out at an ideal time for them:
huge deals on x1s
a very weak cast of fps competition atm
cod declining in interest and possibly alienating fans with AW
huge amounts of advertising

surely there mustve been waves of halo-virgins ready to see what the big deal is. Theyve heard the game before but for one reason or another never bought in. Well due to this opportune time, Nov11 was the day that changes that.

unfortunately 1st impressions are everything ( along with their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th). Since these fans are new they have no nostalgic obligations to wait it out and have already submerged themselves back into aw, tf, and destiny joining their friends circl jerk regarding how x game is better than halo without ever even truly playing halo due to all its issues.

As halo fans ourselves, this is quite unfortunate for us since even if MM discrepencies are fixed we will be missing out on a huge population of ppl to meet, play with, and use as bullet fodder simply because they “gave up”

sorry for the negativity but i suppose i just needed to vent. Btw this rant was written with a controller while searching in vain for games.

good luck finding games everyone!

I’m sure you’re right, but I doubt the number is that high. Keep in mind that Chistmas holiday is when the main gigantic wave will hit. Hopefully MCC will be fully functional by then.

When things do kick up again when everything is fixed, if Halo Championship Series is a success it will bring a good bit of people back. Twitch broadcasting and tournaments always draw large crowds to games these days, whether or not they intent to ever compete.
