I feel your pain like it was just yesterday. I was in that position too many times. All I can say is that Reach grifball is a disgusting cess pool and I’m glad that at the end of the year it will cease to exist in the matchmaking format at least.
I do completely agree on your point that these behavior has definitely caused the Halo Reach to become unfun. Few of the main reasons why Grifball is used for Credit grinding is that this gamemode gives 2.4 times more Credits for time spend than Score Attack and a large portion of the other playlists and a maps with way too few spawn spots which allow for spawn trapping. In addition to that, I’m surprised that this gamemode doesn’t have betrayal booting in order to avoid team killing.

A lot of the people I see now- especially the people who sit there and spawnkill- are already Inheritors. Why even bother at that point?

It was like that way back when I used to play grifball too. They do it just to statpad like it means something. It’s so easy to tell that someone just sits in grifball all day and trolls. That place is an absolute cesspool. Definitely not a place to make friends with good people because just like your title suggests, it’s full of horrible persons.
l feel sympathetic towards the people that just want to play grifball legitimately. TBH, you’re better off just playing with you’re friends in a custom lobby if you want a legitimate game. It sucks that these people willingly abuse the game just to look good when they could have fun and earn credits at the same time. In a way, l am kind of glad 343 are shutting the servers down, if grifball boosting was my first impression of Halo in general, l would have left years ago.
This is too true. Not to mention the hackers who have the floating hack- they just got up into the wall and hog the ball the entire round.

l can also add on, they also have the ability to literally kick you and make your game get temporarily bricked until you have to forcibly shut the game down. This is why l am also glad that reach is in MCC, they can’t do this and we can relive nostalgic experiences without encountering this kind of incident again. l love reach but not when people can literally get booted offline and have their experiences ruined because of wicked people in reach.
