Also gave MW3 a 9+, calling it “innovative” etc, when we all know how much of a wad of BS that is. They hate on Halo 4 yet praise CoD for doing the same things they hate Halo 4, every year. And the Quarter to 3 review is prolly just looking for hits on their website.
The only reason I’m worried about this is because these reviews brang down the Metacritic score to 87, a good score for any other game, but a terrible score for a Halo game. Especially one that Microsoft has spent millions of dollars on. They are bringing down Halo’s score and in the eyes of Microsoft, it looks like Halo is dying, especilally looking at how Halo scores have gone down with each new release.
Also, how does halo have a 87 with so many reviews ging it a 9+?
A 20… I don’t need to read the review to know it was BS. Even if it’s a guys opinion the game doesnt deserve a 20, he probably thought it would go all controversial and his site would get a ton of hits. Cause even people that don’t like halo knows it deserves a higher score.
> Have “professional” game reviews ever been worth a damn?
When you spend Millions upod millions of dollars on a AAA game title to be made and then reviews give it a 20, your gonna be pissed. So, yea, to a mega-company like Microsoft, “proffesional” reviews do matter.
The only review that matters is your own personal review. If you’ve been playing Halo since 2001 and enjoyed every Halo since then that’s all that matters. Forget “professional” reviews your own review of the game is what counts. I know Halo 4 won’t be a let down as far as campaign is concerned, multiplayer Xbox Live will have to have a few tweaks here and there. What concerns me is we that beta tested Halo Reach knew that servers crashed and overloaded for hours because of the all the traffic and hype. Well 5 years we have waited patiently for Master Chief to return and in a couple of hours we will see him once again, I’m sure there is going to be some network issues in the beginning of this launch I hope 343i is prepared.
