I'm worried about E3.

I’m worried about 343 showing pretty much everything at E3 and up until release.

As consumers of video games, we need to be surprised when we purchase a highly anticipated title. I don’t want 343 to show to much at E3 because if everything is shown, what is left for us to be wowed about at release? Imo, this one of the biggest faults of Reach (and I love Reach and all the other Halo games) because to me, it seemed like Bungie showed way to much prior to release of the game. We got the game and it felt like “I’ve seen all this already.”

I just don’t want minutes long of multiplayer footage where pretty much the entire map is shown and gamers already know the layouts, the abilities, weapons etc. Just glimpses in trailers and maybe a little about Forge.

And don’t tell me to not watch it, because that is just an escape goat response. All I’m saying is the fact that 343 has barely shown ANYTHING thus far is only making people want the game even more. You show everything, that want disappears and the excitement of your first experience playing the game is also not there at all.

I agree, but I think 343 will do it just right. They’ll probaly show things about Halo 4 and release new imformation but do that in a way it doesnt decrease the hype.

They could release a multiplayer game video but have the weapons on the map all change around so when the game is released it is different. My only worry is that they will tell the new enemies which I really hope they don’t do

I just want to know about armor abilities and perks. Thats all.

I just hope they explain the new stuff in detail, especially the Modification/Specification deal, and what has changed for the AAs. To people in multiplayer, those are probably the two things that is driving everyone nucking-futs since there is no info on Mods/Specs, and barely any info for the AAs, except for Sprint and Hologram.

343 has kept everything extremely quiet thus far because they want us to be surprised for something. I don’t think they’ll release TOO much information at E3, and I think this “hush hush” thing they’ve got going on will continue until release. They’ll give us small bits of information here and there to hold us over for a while, but it won’t be too revealing.

Also, Forward Unto Dawn episodes will be released leading up to the game’s release. Technically, in that period of time, 343 won’t have to release ANY new information since they’ll be giving us an in depth look at a story which intertwines with Halo 4’s.

EDIT: Part of the reason Reach was already familiar to a lot of people at launch was because of the beta. When you can actually play the game before launch for a decent amount of time, you’ll feel like you know it already once it comes out. It won’t be as exciting. But there is no beta for Halo 4.

This is exactly what I’m talking about. Why do you want to know EVERYTHING? I think that stuff should only be talked about and only like one or two abilities be shown, that’s it. Unlocking something new and seeing it for the first time is part of the new experience. Knowing it before hand takes that away.
