As the title says im worried for dlc. With what expired on reach im afraid getting the dlc will be a horrible mistake. The reach dlc was great, far better then the vanilla reach maps and even then they we close to the top of dlc maps as each was well balanced, well made, and so gorgeous to look at, but even then in the end, almost no one bought them not to mention the only playlist for them was removed not to long ago.
I just hope the dlc is handled better this time
I have a question for you now, How do you wish the dlc to be handled
Like Halo 3 where dlc was slowly made a requirement to play several playlist.
Like Halo reach when it first started where all dlc will be forced in a playlist
or something new?
DLC questions like this, before the game comes out, always annoy me. You’re worried about it before we know what DLC there will be, besides the number of initial map packs and number of maps in each DLC.
Rant over. I would imagine it’ll be handled similarly to Reach, dedicated playlists while the DLC is still fairly new and then getting integrated into the main playlists as time goes on.
If its handled like Reach im not sure ill buy them, brough every reach map pack but maybe 1in20 of my games is on one of those maps.
Halo 3 had it better imo, restrict some playlists so people can enjoy the new content.
One huge problem with Reach is low player population. Hopefully H4 will completely change that. Once the game has a huge player base, these problems are effectively addressed without having to try hard to find a solution.
Also, $25 for 9 maps is a great deal. In comparison, a BO2 player needs to pay at least $50 for the 4 DLCs (exact number of maps unknown, but probably no more than 12)
I hear you on your concerns, But i think Bungie made a massive mistake with how they introduced the Halo: Reach DLC. I think 343i will look at that and learn from Bungies mistakes to make sure the same doesnt happen with Halo 4’s DLC.
