TBH just don’t use any skulls. I didn’t just to be on the safe side. You can collect them but don’t activate them

Skulls are not needed. But if you want it to be easier, you can use the bandana (Halo CE and 2) and scarab gun skull (Halo 2 only) to make your legendary run go smoother for you.

You’re partially correct but 0.0x multiplier skulls only block par score and time achievements they don’t affect completing mission, easter eggs and campaign difficulty completion achievements.

No you’re fine they’ll only affect par time and score achievements not campaign difficulty completion achievements so yeah you’ll unlock the Helioskrill as normal.

I tried finishing Halo 2A on heroic difficulty with the Bandana and Scarab skull and I complete Halo 2A and unlocked the achievement for completing it on heroic difficulty. Maybe they’re only disabled on legendary guess I have to try it out for myself.

If I were you I would do a no skull legendary run just to be on the safe side.

Funny, I unlocked the Hero achievement just backed at September 24th 2016 with the Scarab and Bandana skull making it seem possible to unlock the Halo 2 legendary achievement possible with those 2 skulls. For safety just finish the mission without the skulls.

Hmm I dont know if that affects legendary achievements or not however I think the OP is talking about getting Helioskrill Armor which I’m certain cannot be gotten if you use 0x Muliplier skulls.

Yeah he’s clearly talking about the Helioskrill Armor but like you said just to be safe complete all missions without the use of skulls.

I played through CE with bandana and the missions didn’t count as completed so now I have to replay the whole campaign.
im so glad i got the mark vi gen 1 armorbefore halo 5 came out, its easily the best armor and it feels so good not having to stress about it. 
I also unlocked Helioskrill using skulls. Did not have any issues.
Skulls or not, I highly recommend watching some speedrun tutorials (saved my butt for the H3 Cortana mission, man I hate the Flood).
I’d not deal with Skulls. I didn’t, and I’ll be honest, it made getting Helioskrill all the sweeter.
Even if I did have to play through Halo 4’s campaign again. Eugh.
