i have been playing Halo 5 since it released and I have well over 240 gold packs until I can own everything as of last Friday.
Id like to pay a flat price for content instead of randomly unlocking it.
Say what you want about the MCC, but I feel it did the right thing as far as content. If your going to provide this amount of stuff I think it should either all be accessible for free without unlocking, or let us pay a flat price for everything. I’d gladly spend $25 USD for a skins pack, or an armor pack. Something besides this and the awful system before it, I.E.: unlocking via achievements. I just want to look cool while I Sit down and play halo, not invest in some difficult task for it. It wouldn’t change anything if we didn’t have to unlock everything, as long as new content is added people will play, and some like myself are willing to pay for it.
I know the req pack thing is making a lot of money, but it’s soulless and annoying becaus you don’t get enough. It would be different if they were easier to obtain. I’d gladly throw money for a direct product then a blind grab bag.
This might sound entitled, but it’s how I feel. I don’t want to unlock packs anymore, I just want to get stuff and play man

I don’t think you sound entitled. But what you’re saying is mega-bad for gamers.
These digital items shouldn’t have a paywall at all. I’ve waited for a DMR unlock in REQ since the game came out.
Offering to pay them for items is exactly what they’d like to do. Charge us for stuff that should be part of the game.
Why is a DMR in Warzone basically DLC? When there’s no reason for charging, it goes to dark places.
Deus Ex has paid DLC for a single player game. One use. That’s where it goes, it seems to me.
Well you must not get a lot of time for gaming. You say you have been playing since release but you are only a sr 109… that to me says you haven’t played a whole lot. Yes the grind to unlock all the reqs is long and tedious but just have patience. You can pay your way right now if you choose. Buy the gold pack bundles and boom done.

It’s shouldn’t have to be long and tedious.
there shouldn’t be a grind.
I like playing video games but I don’t want to devote all my time to one game just to get all the cosmetic content. I really feel the best option is to have everything unlocked at the beginning and the gameplay alone should be enough to keep players interested, or paying for it like the DLC in Halo 4.

No and no.
For a start what would be the point in playing if everything is unlocked from the start and why should we have to pay for cosmetic items in video games with real money? That’s just ridiculous. Remember back in Halo 3 when people had 2 sets of armour to start with and they had to complete certain things in the game to unlock the rest? Instead of randomly unlocking things by chance. I remember working my -Yoink- off for ages to unlock recon armour through the vidmaster achievements and you know what? I don’t regret a single second I spent trying to unlock that armour. As hard as some of those achievements were I had fun doing them, and helping my friends unlock it too. Best moments in my entire time of gaming. What sense of achievement do you get when you have to pay for armour or unlock it randomly? None. I got my recon in h5 and yeah I’m glad but I don’t feel like I accomplished anything. I just got lucky. And I wouldn’t even consider paying for it.

Yeah I do remember, for the casual player it was awful.

How? I’m a casual player and I thought it was great, amazing, difficult but achievable. I don’t remember a single person complaining about having to unlock armour through the game back then.

Try to just ignore the unlocking stuff and just play the game. Majority of the cosmetics in H5 are yoink any ways
I think in Halo 6 there should be armour certifications where you unlock an armour type and then have the ability to purchase specific armour pieces of your choice using req points (e.g: chest, helmet, shoulder pieces, legs etc.)

Don’t pay, that’s exactly what they want you to do, they know most of us don’t like the REQ system and the microtransactions, if they aren’t too successful, they won’t come back in Halo 6. SO DON’T BUY REQS PLS!
