Everything in Halo 3 was slow not just walking. Shooting, grenade throwing, melee, etc. It is definitely a very slow game.
> Let me get this out of the way. Halo 4 is a great game. I love it and I am getting annoyed with people acting like it is a bad game riddled with problems.
>
> I started playing Halo back on the original xbox. I loved Halo CE it was an absolutely amazing game, then came Halo 2. What can I say about Halo 2. It was and to this day still is my all time favorite shooter. I don’t think ANY game will leave as major an impact on my life as Halo 2 did. I played that game online constantly from it’s release in November until Halo 3 and I still look back with nothing but fond memories of the best gaming experience of my life!
>
> Then Halo 3 came…I waited up till midnight to get my hands on the follow up to my favoirte game of all time. I HATED it. I was so dissapointed. I tried playing it in fact I played well over a year but never started liking it. Looking back I’m sad I wasted so much time on that game when I didn’t even like it. I would constantly pop in my Halo 2 disc because 3 just wasn’t fun. It was slow, unfair, boring, broken, nothing worked right a complete downgrade of 2 and it was the sequel. I couldn’t enjoy 2 the same however as almost noone played. I ended up selling my Xbox 360 as I bought it for Halo 3 and ended up hating it.
>
> I ended up playing Reach when it came out at a friend’s house and it was even worse than 3! I thought if it was good I’d play again but after 2 horrible games I was fed up I was done with Halo.

> Until I heard Halo 4 was being done by another company. I was interested. Bungie may have made my favorite shooter of all time but they also ruined it and I had lost faith in them to bring it back because they thought it was moving in a good direction. I thought maybe this new company can return Halo to it’s former glory and bring back the magic and fun of Halo 2. I watched every video and read every article about Halo 4 loving everything I saw. I felt that HAlo was heading back in the right direction and that the fun would once again be back. I bought a new xbox in the summer so when Halo 4 came out I’d be ready. I waited up till midnight for my copy. The verdict? I LOVED IT! I felt like I was playing Halo again! The thrill and excitement I hadn’t felt for so long came back! 343i fixed Bungie’s mistakes. HAlo 4 was beter than I hoped and I am having so much fun! It hurts me to see all this hate for such a well made game that is so fun!
>
> And while 2 is still my favorite shooter of all time Halo 4 is a HUGE step in the right direction and the most fun I’ve had in a long time. Not only is the multiplayer my second favorite in the series after 2 the story was my favorite in the whole series!
>
> Keep up the good work 343i and don’t listen to the haters!
Just because you think the game is great doesn’t mean that I have to agree with you and it doesn’t mean it is. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I don’t have a good time when I’m playing Halo that’s why I want change.
This game is more about skill, aim, and strategy than Halo 3 or Reach is. And most impotantly this game is fun to play something that I can’t say about those. None of the AA in this game severly throw off the games balance like in Reach so they don’t bother me. It is not really a big deal which is exactly what they tried to do.
this post and these forums generally are an embarrassment to the wider halo community, just for once dont be a blind obedient sheep and think about what 343 have done to the halo franchise, both good and bad.
good - forward unto dawn, halo 4 campaign, spartan ops, the soundtrack, hiring bravo
bad - EVERY SINGLE ASPECT OF HALO 4 MULTIPLAYER
I don’t see why JIP is hated either. I can’t tell you how many boring games that has saved me from where I’m one of two people on my two against 5 other in CTF. So then I have to quit and then get banned.
I don’t find myself joining a losing game very often either. I think team throwdown is decent proof why JIP is great. Even though the playlist is great
It’s really a shame so many people think Halo 4 multiplayer is bad. It is the first good Halo since 2 and it gets nowhere near the props it deserves. People say it strays so far my Halo. However I feel more at home and like I’m playing Halo when I’m playing 4 than when I’m playing 3 or Reach. BRing people feels awesome again like in Halo 2 and I love it!
I have loved every iteration of Halo for what they are… Evolutions of the FPS philosophy “combat evolved”
CE gave us seamless vehicle combat
H2 gave us dual wielding
H3 gave us equipment
ODST gave us firefight
Reach have us armor abilities
H4 gave us loadouts, tac packs, and support upgrades and ordinance.
I love the direction halo continues to go in. I’ll be playing H4 up to the moment H5 comes out, and honestly I can’t wait to see what evolutions are in store.

You are only seeing the gunplay itself.
You are not seeing the wider picture of what is going on around you. Weapons are spawning at random. Vehicles are being shot down with just a clip and a half. People are calling in snipers and rockets from the sky. People are spawning with active camo and a means to re-take power positions.
That’s not the Halo I know.
Halo 2 had fluid movement, well designed and unique maps, a skill gap, and a limited but varied sandbox.

Optimism like this has run short on these forums.
We’re all very tired of it, but like most of the community says, ignorance is bliss.
I also have been an avid player since Combat Evolved, and I really do love halo 4. If I could hug you through my computer, I would.
I really like Halo 4. I’ve been playing since Halo 3 and did not just jump on in Halo 4. Halo 4 was the first game that convinced me to get a gold account and it has been one of the smartest things I have ever done. I went and played 3 online recently andit was not nearly as intence. Granted, some things need tweeking like the DMR and storm rifle, but over all the game is My favorite yet. Good work 343!

The problem with those things, however, is that they aren’t implemented all too well and are far too random.
Why make a thread about you hating the haters?
just going to cause an endless cycle
just dont respond and their threads will die ,jesus…

The aim assist makes it so a blind old lady can get a kill. No aiming is needed in this game. Skill? Not when you spawn with a 1 shot or you can just sprint/fly away when losing. Oh and you can see through walls… how is this a skillful game?

You forgot strategy, where random factors everywhere apparently leads to thoughtful gameplay.

there were loadouts in reach. h4 gave us perks and care packages.
Maybe halo 4 has created a more level playing field, where not just the seasoned pros will win.

Maybe you should pay attention in class…

It’s a matter of opinion, if you like it… Fine! if someone hates or simply doesn’t like a game, deal with it.
This petty cycle will continue nonetheless.
