Maybe I don’t have a good eye but, it seems pretty fast to me. Plus a lot of folks who have played the game have claimed that base movement speed is like halo 3.

Just an attempt at humor.
OT: I believe Frankie even stated that movement speed is derived from Halo 3, which is a pretty good speed to me.
The speeds are the same as halo 2 and 3. maybe because u can sprint it just feels or looks like ur moving slower cause u knw that u could move faster by sprinting.
It seems pretty fast to me. I think it is just a matter of perception and sprint being a standard that makes it seem slower. For example, go back and play halo 3 campaign and I guarantee you’ll find yourself missing what we have become accustomed to. To be honest, it seems to me that sprint does’nt accelerate you quite as quickly as in reach, though again this is all a matter of perception.
No, you’re not crazy, OP. Field of view is small, which means you see less of your environment moving and thus perceive the character to be moving slower. For a visual demonstration of this in action click me. The dev team have opted for graphical power over functionality, because shiny graphics sell. Really though, look at any of Halo 4’s gameplay footage - it’s a choppy, blurry mess of a game that hands you tunnel vision. They should have went for 60 FPS, minimum, and a more natural FoV. But they’re selling a product to uneducated consumers, who will be playing it on a large plasma with wireless controllers. shrugs

Stopped reading right there.
That’s complete BS and you know it. Halo 4 has great graphical performance. Every gameplay we’ve seen shows this (although, the VIDEO quality does not always)
Honestly, I think slower sprint is better. You don’t want sprint to be an easy scapegoat option, where you land 4 shots, and they shirk off at ultra speed so you can’t get a kill.
All the strategies changed a lot from Halo 3 to Reach because of sprint, and how the flow of gameplay on a certain map would change because of it. I really don’t think, at this time, there is anything at all wrong with the speed. Even with this make, everything looks quite nicely tuned. Argue if you disagree - that’s what forums are for.
