I’m the only one who wants it back the ODST helmet?

For me is the best helmet of halo saga. Mark V and VI too.

Lots of people wanted ODST, Marine, and Mk. V armor back. Along with Elites, but 343i had to make War Games canonical which seriously hindered it.

For me the recruit helmet looks like a spartan and odst cross over, but they should of had the helmet and armor anyways, and M IV was Bungie’s first MJOLNIR armor in-game, it might be 343I now but the fans deserve their first and favorite helmets

Well, I know that fictionally the ODST armour was replaced by Air Assault sometime between Halo 3 and 4. So Air Assault is the way to look like a 2557 ODST.

As per the fictional reason there is no Mark V, it likely has to do with the reason Mjolnir Mk VI armour didn’t support Mark IV variants. And why Mark V never supported Mark III. Maybe the tech got so old it became completely obsolete?

For gameplay purposes, removing is never a good idea (*). It pissed alot more people off than it made happy by removing Elites. And it made NOONE happy to remove Mark V, ODST, or any armour from any game. So what was the point in doing it if all it did was piss people off? They could have just made less new armours, and NOONE would feel like they are missing something.

*: Well, it’s never a good idea unless it harms the game in any way. Like Armour Lock. Or Armour Abilities in general (wink wink 343)

Not really, Elites could’ve been in the mutliplayer canonically. Usze ‘Taham, the Elite in red armor from Halo 3 co op, became a liaison to the UNSC. Under his leadership, Elites could’ve been working with the UNSC to track down and aid in counter-operations against the Covenant led by Jul 'Mdama.

But that doesn’t fit 343i’s insistence on making the Elites evil, genocidal monsters still clinging to their faith.
