In that it seems like it started out fair and nice, and now that we’re a bit into it the cheaters are exponentially increasing in numbers and frequency. I’ve had a couple of nights where I was fairly certain that there was at least one cheater in every match.
It’s been a similar mix of “Hmm, maybe I’m being paranoid” and "That guy isn’t even hiding it" too, just like how Warzone was (maybe still is. Since I stopped playing a while ago) where it is common enough that you doubt things most matches but can’t quite be sure either to accuse them of cheating (and you don’t want to spend an hour each night reviewing matches either).
And the obvious matches? It definitely is not fun fighting people who full auto the Sidekick and get headshots each shot, or perfectly snap onto you literally the nanosecond your model is viewable. Or get those perfect pre-nades or corner bounces every fight.
It’s going to be the new normal unless they add some option to only match with other premium users who have spent money on the game. If they do that then the experience will improve for premium users at least after a couple ban waves. Otherwise it will always be bad. The die was cast the moment the decision to go F2P was made.
I’m already bored of BTB and Quick Play…but I put that down to having to put up with getting killed repeatedly with ARs and scavenging for a decent weapon. It’s such a boring low skill weapon to use and be killed by.
Played a few ranked games this evening and all my friends agreed that it was much more fun. Most games were closely fought and not having to deal with ARs over and over again was a breath of fresh air.
I know there are cheaters out there but I can’t take either of those playlists too seriously, and hopefully the cheaters will be too high level in ranked to come into our lobbies. Obviously the big item on the wish list is for a platform based crossplay option so we don’t have to put up with those no life cheating losers whatever game mode we would all like to play.
Edit: the cheats on Warzone is what made me stop playing too so it will be a bad day if they don’t take the right actions to stop them ruining the Halo experience for everyone too.
