I'm sorry but Spartan charge seems cheep

Even then, if it’s in a narrow hallway you’re pretty much screwed. Reduce the distance you charge, it seems like it goes on too long and you can reach people a regular boost would only get you halfway to.

I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree! For a game that is pranced around as being “super-competitive”, it sure has a lot of cheap bull -Yoink-.

and you are such a noob that you can´t kill these “noobs” earlier?

Charge is one of those mechanics they throw in there to try and mix things up, and keep gameplay refreshing. Unfortunately, it kind of comes off as silly and desperate and unneeded. In my opinion it was added for the sake of adding something. Everyone would have been just fine without it. All of this applies to ground pound as well, though personally ground pound is even more guilty. I’m not bashing either of these per say, but they do seem cheap, both in what they are as well as how they are executed. To be fair, if either of these mechanics were nerfed, it would make them even more useless and irrelevant. So as it stands, they would be wise to leave it alone, or else remove it entirely.

As for the motion tracker…well, it has certainly drawn quite a bit of debate. The 18m distance it currently sits at in arena is pretty bad, for many reasons. Alas, that is a topic for another time. Hopefully it will be addressed, and fixed, soon.

I rarely die to it, I don’t see it as a problem

Fair enough, anyone can do a ground pound, but to do it effectively takes skill.

How does it feel out of place a spartan weighing that much hitting you at sprint speed should be able to do what it does. I love Spartan charge it’s one of my favorite things to do not because I’m bad at halo but because it’s a different way to play halo. I feel like a real life Spartan with it.

I agree with you. Sometimes when I try to ground pound I end up missing and once you miss you pretty much are dead.

Are you sure it’s not just you? Because it’s pretty easy to kill someone if you boost at the right time, or if you hit them and than shoot them in the head.

Although the ground pound is rather useless.

A cheap mechanic, yes and no.

Yes : because it is a surefire way to remove someones shield instantly, and the ability have the tendency to “cripple” the person whom were hit by the charge, leaving them “defenceless” for a quick second. Were as the user of the Charge is able to fire their weapon “seemingly” quicker than the victim of the charge. Another way this ability can be “misused” or simply be annoying, is when some players insist on only try to charge you, for one reason or the other.

No : Because while Charging, you are very vulnerable to incoming fire, and one will easily get taken down by even just one aware enemy, not alone by several. Then there is the possibility of you missing or hitting a corner or some other obstruction between you and the target.

It can be useful when I use it and annoying when my opponents use it, but I don’t care because I think the charge is a nice ability in Halo 5.

please dont get me started on Spartan charge

It is cheep… Not gonna lie. But I do use it, I utilize all the things I have when I’m in battle.

Now we just need to talk about “ground pound stair guarding”.

This is a “I hate it so much, I use it all the time” situation.
I wouldn’t totally mind if they took it out, but it would change a lot for better and/or worse.

Same here.

What I hate most about it is it does the same amount of damage whether they hit you full on or even graze you as you tried to boost out of the way. All Spartan charge is is a crutch for those who can’t shoot and or those who are late on the trigger because they were sprinting.

It is. It’s just another way for the unskilled players to get a feel good kill.

Remove Spartan Charge, Radar, automatic weapon starts, one hit kill weapons and make the weapons take skill to use.

Boom, decent Halo game.

I have to agree with OP that Spartan charge sucks. Especially as already pointed out when considering the much too limited motion tracker range.

I like the new spartan abilities with the exception of spartan charge. Remove it and/or boost motion tracker range to 25m.

As if sprinting at someone and meleeing them wasn’t annoying enough that now the super charged that tactic some you can’t even fight back.
