I'm sorry but Spartan charge seems cheep

It just seems like a cheap mechanic. It’s pretty much a free kill the person getting charged as little to no chance of defending themselves from it unless they boost precisely the right way. Even then, if it’s in a narrow hallway you’re pretty much screwed. Reduce the distance you charge, it seems like it goes on too long and you can reach people a regular boost would only get you halfway to.

If radar was a bigger range you’d at least have more warning. As it is it’s too easy for people to get the jump on you.

Easily one of the dumbest things in the game. Only countered by thrusters, and has a big hit box. It’s pretty hard to miss one completely. Also, there’s a thing where you can’t melee the person immediately after you get hit, which is infuriating.

I don’t mind it…but a bigger radar could nerf it some.

They need to tone down it’s homing capabilities. It seems whenever I do use thrust, it doesnt help at all. And I’ve used it enough to know there have been hits I should’ve missed.

I think its stupid how people try to spartan charge someone. Like I literally saw an enemy with his shields gone and a teammate was just trying to charge him and completely missed. If players had any common sense, you could have just shot him with the smg that you were clearly holding. Lets not forget that for some dumb reason that players sprinting go off radar… So many times I saw this, fix this glitch.

Yep can’t stand it either, seems to be catered for gamers that are generally bad at FPS games for cheap kills, just like ground pounds.

It is pretty funny when someone tries to Spartan Charge you from behind and miss and then you quickly take them out.

Well with how BS it’s range and tracking is, if you somehow miss, you deserve to die.

Read 343i argument about a large radar range. It is quite hilarious. There are against 25m to 30m.

I hardly ever die from spartan charge… Its not even hard to dodge tbh and I personally love the spartan charge

Once you get the hang of it, most of the time people who spartan charge you are signing their death sentence. They spartan charge me and I almost always have time to melee, now neither of us have shields but I can shoot at him and he can’t for about a second which gives me the advantage to just mow them down. I do all that with a ping higher than 220, so a lot of you should be able to do the same.

I’ve not got a huge issue with the spartan charge, some mechanics of it are frustrating i agree but as a new mod its OK. Let me explain before the hate…

If your getting charged from the front or side then you are in a position to be able to do it as well, just getting beaten to the hit doesn’t make it that bad. In addition if you are getting charged from the front then the delay between the sprint, hit and then recovery should give you plenty of time to shoot off a whole SMG mag or get some B/R or A/R shots off.

If your getting charged from behind then you were going to be going down anyway whether its through being shot, beaten down or assassinated any attack from behind is going to result in you hitting the floor.

My BIG issue with it is the spartan charge/speed boos combination and i think this need addressing immediately, there is literally no countering or escaping and its a 1 hit kill whatever happens

Yeah, it’s definitely a cheap mechanic since it rewards mindlessly sprinting around maps. Just look at how much it was abused when speed boost/spartan charge was a 1 hit kill. 343 changed that back to the original settings pretty quick. The aim assist is terrible as well cause it can track opponents and curve into them instead of only going straight.

To help fix it, I think it needs a bigger delay before you can shoot someone after hitting them with a spartan charge and make it so you can’t turn into people. That would make it a bigger risk/reward for using it.

It’s not even done well. It should work the same as splatter damage moving away from it should reduced the damage. It also makes no sence cause you can 180 the direction of it when you momentum shouldn’t be able to 180. Plus there are plenty of times they weren’t even close enough or charging away from the target and still get a kill.

The 1 hit kill capability has been removed.

I think spartan charge is a complete 360 degree reversal from the Reach double tap melee.
