Ok, I tell my friends that I like Halo a lot more than call of duty, and so everyone tells me that they like Halo better too. But whenever I come online they’re playing CoD, and they also have a lot more playing time in CoD, and I’m sick of it, does this happen to anyone else? Also, I’m sure I’ll get some comments saying, stuff like, “Who gives a -Yoink-” Well I’m just asking please don’t be an -Yoink-?
What are you asking for? Help in game? People to play with? CoD help? Not sure how to respond to your post.

>Halo 4 Gone To Shame<
well the fact that halo4 turned into a cod pretty much may be a reason. cause if i want to play a cod ill go play a cod not some stupid -Yoink- clone.
"Game" 4 is not “like CoD” many people just decide to paint it with this misconception because they are not familiar with the rich history of FPS. Call of Duty first hit the console in 2005 with Call of Duty II. Halo CE came out in 2001 for the Console. SO right off the bat we see Halo predating CoD by 4 years. Now granted there were plenty of FPS for both console and PC that predated Halo. Golden Eye for the N64, Quake as well, but this notion of Halo is like CoD is getting to be just an argument with no solid foundation. What makes Halo like CoD? The integration of instant respawns? Bloom? “Perks” and “Killstreaks”? Because a game developer puts these into a game does that make the game immediately a clone of CoD famous “skeleton” which they have used year after year in each new release? No. If 343 decided to put Perks in the game, thy decided to put perks in the game. Therefore just because they did you can not just go off screaming “Call of Halo”!
Sure these changes are not “natural” to the Halo franchise, we all know that, but one can’t simply just go about saying that Halo turned into CoD is invalid. Nothing has turned into anything. Halo will forever be Halo, and CoD will forever be CoD. Just like Battlefield will forever have that BF feel, Quake will forever be Quake and Medal of Honor will forever be…okay you get it now?
yeah i have my friends from school on live, dont really talk to them at all anymore, but most of them are just playing black ops 2…no one i know apart frm myself plays any halo
Your thread isn’t really making a point here; all you’re saying is that all your friends are playing CoD over Halo in an obscure way.
I see an underlining point here but still, I find it all generally… Pointless.
I like Halo more than CoD too. Unfortunately Halo 4 is just a CoD clone.
Many of my friends were Call of Duty players.
Then I removed them
My better friends are happy to compromise, as am I.
shrug
That particular scenerio does not apply to me. I do play Halo with some people that prefer CoD, and they get stomped constantly because they play Halo like it’s CoD.
I played Black Ops 2 until I prestiged, and then I picked up Halo 4. I understand why people play, but I can’t stand playing it. It’s not just CoD either, more and more games are making use of giving their players little to no health to make the game more fast-paced.
I don’t see the use in playing a competitive game, when after every kill you don’t have that feeling of satisfaction. Only the feeling that I caught someone off-guard.
I just play the game its fun
