I'm seriously at a loss for words right now.

So I get home from work, and jump into Reach for a few matches before bed. I know I’m not gonna be playing much after Halo 4 comes out, so I’m trying to rank up as much as possible, because why the heck not? I was expecting lopsided teams, no one on chat, and noobs that rush to their death time and time again. I’m happy to say that I was wrong. I got dropped into a match with 4 people with headsets, so I plugged mine in to see what they had to say. We played our first match on Sword Base, and was teamed with 2 of them. We used callouts, worked together, and had a decent conversation while we were at it. After the match the 5 of us searched on together, and found 2 MORE people with headsets. They were also cool people, and joined our fun times and good talks. Eventually we had a full lobby of 8 smart, articulate, and downright swell guys. People quit, people joined. Everyone had a headset, everyone worked together, everyone had a good time. No one ever rage quit, or betrayed on purpose, even though a couple admitted they did that -Yoink!- when they were bored.

I didn’t think this happened anymore. If any of you read this, and you know who you are, thank you. I haven’t had this much fun playing Halo since the CE LANs I used to throw in high school.
But you know, I learned something today. If we all plugged in our headsets and used them like we were supposed to we’d have fewer problems. Maybe the betrayer on your team is sitting in front of his TV, playing a game he loves but still bored out of his mind. Sure some people are just that immature, but it’s still worth the effort. Besides, you can talk about butts and farts with anyone. Christ, Kevin Smith built his career off of it.

And all sentimentality aside, if you killed me more than I killed you. Eff your mother I wanna -Yoink!- in your hat.

That is all.

well if you play mlg this happens all day every day, half the reason i moved away from social gametypes

Oh come on dude, did you really have to go there?

> Oh come on dude, did you really have to go there?

Way to be constructive and on topic…

One of the reasons people continue to play this game is to be able to communicate with like-minded people and work together to overcome what your opponents bring to the table. Both of these things happen with significantly greater frequency in MLG than in default playlists. There’s no reason to show that level of butthurtedness(sp?) towards the organization simply because it was mentioned.

You have two options:
1: Get over it.

One option.

Congratulations, OP, for having a blast in this game where having fun can be hard to do from time to time.
